Wilson Home <Front Porch>
Roger and Dominique stand at the front door.

Roger: "Remember what I told you Dominique."
Dominique: "Cut it out Roger. I don't want to have the same conversation and argument over and over. I'm late I have to leave. Goodbye."

Dominique turns and walks off the porch and down the path. Roger calls her and she continues to walk down the path.

Roger: "Wait!"
Dominique: "I don't have time. Goodbye Roger."
Roger: "I want to warn you about something. I didn't want to tell you this just yet, but I don't have a choice. I know that Matt isn't Kyle's son."

Dominique stops dead in her tracks. She gasps. She begins to hyperventilate. She then collapses to the ground below. Roger runs over to her.

Roger: "Dominique. Dominique, wake up. Come on, wake up Dominique."

Roger kneels down beside her. He tugs her a little bit hoping that she'll wake up. She remains unconscious. Roger picks her up and takes her onto the porch and sits her up on the bench. He helps hold her up. He continues to try and wake her up. Soon she does wake up. She looks at Roger. He is relieved and continues to be cold towards her. She looks terrified and can't speak.

Roger: "What a lucky S-O-B I am."
Dominique: "What do mean?"
Roger: "I didn't actually know that was your secret. I thought it might be, but I wasn't sure. I thought I'd try it out and by your reaction I'm guessing that I was right."
Dominique: "Oh...you...you guessed...well, you're wrong. That's not my secret."
Roger: "You can't deny it now. When I said it you just fainted. I know the secret now, and what a big one it is. When I first heard you talk about it, I thought I heard you say something about Kyle and Matt, and I figured that Matt might not be Kyle's son, and like I said, I guess I was right."
Dominique: "Why? Why you of all people?"
Roger: "I'm just lucky, I guess. But, how the tables have turned. Now, you're not the only person with incriminating information. You have information on me that can destroy my life, and I have information on you that can destroy your life. Which will come out first?"
Dominique: "We can come to some sort of an agreement, can't we? I won't say anything about, and you won't tell anyone about mine."
Roger: "I don't know...you were pretty smug earlier when you thought you could destroy me, but now that you know I can destroy you just as fast, you want to strike up a deal. I don't think so. I'm going right into that house and I'm going to tell Kyle that Matthew Wilson isn't actually Matthew Wilson."

Dominique looks very scared now and Roger looks determined as he starts to go back into the house.

Cortez Home <Living Room>
Mariah and Maria walk into their small two-bedroom house. Mariah is still crying her eyes out as Maria leads her into the living room and sits her down on the couch.

Maria: "I'll get you some water."

Maria goes into the kitchen. Mariah cries and cries as she remembers what Maria told her in the car.

~Flashback~

Maria and Mariah are driving down the road in Marias car.

Mariah: "Earlier at Richard's house...did you tell me the truth?"

Maria: "The truth about what?"

Mariah: "Well remember you said you were surprised I was okay with Katie staying with Richard considering how pretty she is?"

Maria: "Yes."

Mariah: "Is that really what you were going to say? Please tell me the truth. I know Katie probably told you things that Richard didn't tell me and I'd be so grateful to you if you told me anything that you feel is important that I should know about."

Maria: "There is something."

Mariah: "What is it?"

Maria: "I was going to say that I was surprised you were okay with Katie staying with Richard considering the past that they have together."

Mariah: "That's it? Because they were college friends?"

Maria: "Mariah, they were more then college friends. They were lovers in college. They were engaged. Katie says that they were really serious and everyone thought they were the perfect couple."

~Flashback Ends~

Mariah cries harder and Maria comes back into the living room with a tall glass of ice water. She hands it to Mariah and she drinks from it. Maria then sits down next to Mariah.

Mariah: "I can't believe that I'm so blind...so stupid."
Maria: "Don't say that. You didn't know."
Mariah: "I thought Richard and I had a good, honest relationship."
Maria: "You do."
Mariah: "Then why didn't he tell me about Katie and their past together?"
Maria: "He probably didn't want you to worry that she would distract him from you or something like that, because he knows that she won't and even if she tries, she won't succeed."
Mariah: "How can you be so sure?"
Maria: "Because this is Richard we are talking about here. He is Mr. Honesty and he loves you very much. He wouldn't risk your relationship for Katie."
Mariah: "What if he does? It sounds like they were much more serious then we are."
Maria: "This was when they were in college together."
Mariah: "Yeah, I know, but that was only two years ago."
Maria: "They were dating when they were freshmen and sophomores. I doubt it means anything now. Back then they only thought they were in love."
Mariah: "No, I really think it's more and I should just break up with Richard so he can be with Katie."

Maria looks at Mariah shocked that she has just said such a thing.

O'Keffe Home <Brittany's Bedroom>
Brittany continues putting clothes into her luggage. Megan is sitting on her bed watching her.

Megan: "Brittany, are you sure that you want to move out?"
Brittany: "Yes, I've had enough of my mother trying to take control of my life."
Megan: "So are you ending all ties with your parents?"
Brittany: "No, I just need to leave this house."
Megan: "I think that you should rethink this, I really do, I mean you're lucky to have your parents and you should really stay here with them."
Brittany: "You know my parents Meg. You know how controlling they are. I mean they think that I'm dating Douglas to benefit them and I'm not, they think that all there is to life is money. I just don't want to deal with that twenty-four seven."
Megan: "I guess I can understand. Are you ready?"
Brittany: "I just have a few more things to pack, I'll come back for the rest another time."

Brittany keeps putting things into her bag. Megan watches, but disturbed.

Richmond Mansion <Driveway>
Andrea and Jim step out of their car. They stand in front of the enormous Richmond mansion, where Douglas lives with his father, mother and siblings.

Andrea: "I don't understand why we're here Jim. Will you please explain to me what we're doing?"
Jim: "I told you already. If you don't understand then just let me do the talking. Follow my lead once you get the hang of it."
Andrea: "Okay. Well come on, let's ring the doorbell, I can't wait to get in there."

Jim nods and they walk onto the huge porch and touch the white button outside the tall double doors. They hear a loud chiming sound. Shortly a man wearing a tuxedo with tails comes to the door. Hes Bernard, the butler to the Richmond family.

Bernard: "Good afternoon. Can I help you?"
Jim: "Yes, we're Mr. and Mrs. O'Keffe. We'd like to speak with Douglas Richmond Jr."
Bernard: "You mean Master Douglas Richmond Jr."
Jim: "Yes, I suppose."
Bernard: "Does he know you were coming?"
Jim: "No, but this is a very important matter and we absolutely need to speak with him."
Bernard: "Come in."

Jim and Andrea walk into the foyer of the mansion. There is a chandelier hanging on the ceiling above. There is a massive staircase directly in the center of the gigantic foyer. There is a single round table in the center under the chandelier with a beautiful assortment of roses placed neatly on it. Bernard leads Jim and Andrea towards the right of the room into the plush grand room. Bernard directs them to sit down on the large white couch.

Bernard: "Wait here. I will tell Master Douglas that you are here."
Jim: "Thank you."

Bernard leaves the room. Andrea promptly stands up and turns herself around several times viewing the entire room. There are large paintings of the family all over the walls. The walls of the room are painted white with a thick burgundy border in the center of the wall. All of the furniture is white and large. The mahogany tables and curio cabinets, filled with Lladro and crystal figurines, bring out the burgundy border. Andrea is in shock as she looks around the room.

Andrea: "Jim, can you believe that we are actually in the Richmond mansion? I think I've died and gone to heaven."
Jim: "It is all amazing isn't it?"
Andrea: "Unbelievable. Look at all of the curio cabinets filled with these figurines that look so expensive."
Jim: "Yes. I think they're Lladro. I once heard that each figurine costs about six hundred dollars to a thousand dollars each."
Andrea: "Oh my God, and they are so many. Look at these paintings of the family members. Douglas Richmond, Constance Richmond, Douglas Richmond Jr., Allison Richmond, Katherine Richmond. Look at them all."
Jim: "And they've all got money."
Andrea: "Disgusting amounts of money."
Jim: "You've got that right. Andrea, come and sit down, I hear someone coming."

Andrea sits back down next to Jim where she was seated before. Bernard enters once again.

Bernard: "Master Douglas will be right with you. He's just finishing his shower. He'll be down momentarily."
Jim: "Thank you."

Bernard exits the room and Andrea and Jim remain seated on the couch.

Velez Mansion <Geovanna's Bedroom>
Geovanna is laying in her bed still sleeping all wrapped up in her expensive sheets and blankets. Miranda quietly comes into the room. She goes over to the bed and lightly touched Geovanna's arm.

Miranda: "Seņora Geovanna...seņora Geovanna."
Geovanna: "What is it Miranda?"
Miranda: "It's past noon, seņora."
Geovanna: "Is it really? Would you be so kind as to draw me a bath?"
Miranda: "Right away."

Miranda walks into the adjoining bathroom and turns on the water in the bathtub. Geovanna gets out of bed and wraps herself in her heavy, yet luxurious bathrobe. Miranda comes back out of the bathroom.

Miranda: "You're bath is almost ready seņora."
Geovanna: "Thank you. Has David and Santa woken up yet?"
Miranda: "Yes. I believe seņora Velez has already gone to the factory. Seņor Velez is in the breakfast nook."
Geovanna: "Santa went to the factory on a Saturday?"
Miranda: "She's been going on Saturdays for almost a month now."
Geovanna: "How odd, what could she be doing there, on a Saturday no less."
Miranda: "I don't know, and honestly, I don't want to know. Your bath should be ready now."
Geovanna: "Do you know if David is planning on going over to the factory?"
Miranda: "I don't think he is. He hasn't mentioned anything to me. Your bath should be ready now."
Geovanna: "If he would have told anyone then he would have told Bianca. Find out if he has said anything to her."
Miranda: "I will. Your bath should be ready now seņora Geovanna."

Geovanna nods and then walks into the bathroom. Miranda quickly takes the sheets off of her bed and leaves the room.

Megan's Apartment
Megan leads Brittany into her apartment. She sets her things down. The apartment is small, but cozy. It is split up into three rooms. Megan and Brittany stand in the main room containing the living room, dining room and kitchen. Off towards the left is a door that leads to Megan's bedroom. The bathroom is tucked away in the back of her bedroom, yet separated from it as well.

Brittany: "Megan, I really appreciate that you are doing this for me, but are you sure that there will be enough room here for me? I don't want to be in your way."
Megan: "You won't be in my way. You're my best friend and I wasn't going to let you stay at the Watersdale Inn all by yourself. Besides, you'd have to pay for that."
Brittany: "I'm going to pay you for letting me stay here."
Megan: "No you're not!"
Brittany: "Yes, I am!"
Megan: "How about this, you just pitch in for groceries."
Brittany: "Are you sure?"
Megan: "Yes."
Brittany: "Okay, fine. I agree, at least I won't feel so bad."
Megan: "You shouldn't feel bad anyway because I'm doing this because I want to. It's not like you blackmailed me into letting you stay here or something."
Brittany: "Don't be silly."
Megan: "Listen, I have to go to work pretty soon so I'm going to go change. Make yourself at home. Watch T.V, listen to the radio, whatever, okay?"

Brittany nods then sits down and turns on the T.V, Megan goes into her bedroom. Suddenly there is a knock at the door.

Brittany: "Meg, someone's at the door."
Megan: "Could you answer it please?"
Brittany: "Okay."

Brittany gets up and goes over to the door. She opens it slowly and only a little bit at first. An old man is standing on the other side. She opens the door wider.

Brittany: "Hello. Can I help you?"
Man: "Yes, but do I have the right apartment? Did the girl that lives here move or something?"
Brittany: "Who? Megan Shirley?"
Man: "Yes."
Brittany: "No sir, she didn't move, she's just changing."
Man: "I see. Well I'm Herbert Munch, the landlord here. Who are you?"
Brittany: "Nice to meet you Mr. Munch. I'm Brittany, a friend of Megan's."
Herbert: "It's a surprise that girl has friends."
Brittany: "What do you mean Mr. Munch?"
Herbert: "That Megan, she sure is trouble. I don't know why I haven't tossed her out of this apartment a long time ago. She's always throwing loud parties, inviting people over. They're always getting drunk, they make so much noise and they come in after midnight. She never pays her rent on time neither."

Brittany stares at Herbert in shock and disbelief in what he is saying.

Richmond Mansion <Grand Room>
Andrea and Jim are still sitting on the large white sofa waiting for Douglas Richmond Jr. to grace them with his presence. Andrea stands up and walks out of the room and into the foyer. Jim gets up and grabs her arm. He drags her back into the grand room.

Jim: "Where the hell do you think you're going?"
Andrea: "I'm sick of waiting for this boy."
Jim: "So you're going to leave?"
Andrea: "No...no, we have to go though with your plan. I just wanted to roam around the house. Get a little glimpse of the rest of it."
Jim: "You can't."
Andrea: "Why not?"
Jim: "What if you get caught?"
Andrea: "Well, that's just a risk that I'm going to have to take, now isn't it?"

Andrea tries to leave the room again, but Jim stops her.

Andrea: "Jim, no, let go of me."
Jim: "Just stay here Andrea."
Andrea: "Please, I really want to see the rest of the house. Please?"
Jim: "No. Stay here. Douglas should be here any minute now. That's another thing, what if he were to get here and you weren't here, plus what I said before, you might get caught by another family member or by a servant, while youre out there."
Andrea: "Jim, you are talking to the Queen of Scheme; the Lord of Lies. I can get out of anything."
Jim: "I know, but..."
Andrea: "But nothing. You know I'm right. Don't worry, I'll be right back, if I don't get lost."
Jim: "Heaven forbid."
Andrea: "You should stop worrying."
Jim: "Andrea, just hurry up."

Andrea nods and waves her hand at Jim as she is walking out of the room. Jim sits on the couch once again and sighs as Andrea disappears.

Wilson Home <Front Porch>
Dominique runs and catches Roger before he can go into the house.

Dominique: "Please Roger. Don't do it. Please don't do it."
Roger: "Are you begging me?"
Dominique: "Yes. Please. Don't do tell Kyle. Please."
Roger: "Why shouldn't I?"
Dominique: "We can come to an agreement of some kind. I can forget about your secret and you can forget about mine?"
Roger: "It's going to be really hard to do that. This is such an explosive secret."

Dominique now gets on her knees in front of Roger and looks up at him with her hands folded in front of her chest.

Dominique: "Please Roger. I'm begging you on my knees. Please. Have some mercy. I swear, I'll never tell anyone about your secret if you promise not to tell Kyle about Matt."
Roger: "You know Dominique, I'm honored to have you kneeling in front of me begging me, but still I don't know if I should..."
Dominique: "Please."
Roger: "Get up Dominique. Someone might see you."

Dominique stands up. She takes Rogers hand and leads him to the bench on the porch. They sit down beside each other.

Dominique: "What is it going to take? What is it going to take to keep you quiet?"
Roger: "Dominique, I wish I could help you, but I really can't. This secret is too good to let go to waste. I'm afraid that I'm going to have to tell Kyle."
Dominique: "You bastard!"
Roger: "Now, now, now, is that anyway to talk to someone who seemingly has so much control over you right now? I mean, knowing your secret and all."
Dominique: "Wait a minute."
Roger: "What?"
Dominique: "You have a secret too. I can use that against you. You dont want Kyle to know about you and your loan shark and how you are getting into drugs again."

Rogers' smug smile disappears. He looks away from Dominique. Dominique starts to regain confidence and control.

Dominique: "That's right. You didn't think about that, did you? Did you? I swear Roger, if you reveal my secret to Kyle, then I'll tell him all about yours. I swear I will."

Roger looks a little more frightened. Dominique continues to feel confident.

Cortez Home <Living Room>
Maria goes and sits next to Mariah still shocked by what she has said.

Maria: "Mariah, you can't be serious. You can't break up with Richard."
Mariah: "Why not? It's obvious that he doesn't love me...that he wants to be with Katie, so I'll let him be with her."
Maria: "Why do you insist on thinking that he doesn't love you and wants to be with Katie?"
Mariah: "I can tell. I mean, they were hugging when we walked in, remember? It felt awful inside, I felt betrayed."
Maria: "You're turning this into something it's not."
Mariah: "I thought you were on my side!"
Maria: "I am on your side. I'll always be on your side. I'm just saying that I think youre blowing this way out of proportion. They were only hugging. If an old college friend were to come here and surprise you with a visit, wouldn't you at least hug him?"
Mariah: "Of course. It would be rude not to. Especially if it had been a while that I hadn't seen him."
Maria: "Exactly. Why can't you understand that they were hugging for the same reason that you just said you would hug an old friend."
Mariah: "Maria, it's different. They were engaged. He never even told me about it."
Maria: "I know. But wouldn't you still have been mad if he told you about Katie when you and him first started dating?"
Mariah: "No."
Maria: "Liar!"
Mariah: "What? I wouldn't have been mad. I would have been surprised and I would have questioned him about it a little, but I wouldn't have been mad."
Maria: "I just don't want you to break up with him for something like this. He probably thought what you didn't know wouldn't hurt you. I'm sure the last thing he expected this morning was to find Katie Barnes at his front door."
Mariah: "None the less, he still could have..."
Maria: "Stop Mariah. Just stop. You're turning into that annoying drama queen that mom is. If you look at what is happening in perspective you'll understand what I'm trying to tell you and you'll understand how Rich must be feeling."
Mariah: "I'm not turning into the drama queen that mom is. I can't look at this in perspective right now, okay? I just feel hurt and that's all I know. If you can't understand that then I'm not going to waste my time trying to explain to you how I feel. I shouldn't have even tried to begin with, you've never had a boyfriend."

Immediately Mariah realizes what she has just said and gasps and covers her mouth with her hand. Maria looks at her as tears fill her eyes.

Velez Mansion <Geovanna's Bedroom>
Miranda just finishes making Geovanna's bed. Geovanna comes' walking out of the bathroom wearing her white bathrobe, white slippers and has her hair in a white towel. She sits at her vanity.

Geovanna: "There's nothing as soothing as a nice hot bath. Thank you so much Miranda."
Miranda: "You're welcome seņora Geovanna. Would you like me to bring up your breakfast?"
Geovanna: "No, I'll wait for lunch since I slept in so late."
Miranda: "Okay. It should be ready shortly."
Geovanna: "Tell Marjorie to take her time."
Miranda: "Will you be going anywhere today?"
Geovanna: "Yes, as a matter of fact I will. I'll want to leave at about three o'clock."
Miranda: "I'll make sure to tell Leonardo."
Geovanna: "Thank you."
Miranda: "Is that all?"
Geovanna: "Yes."
Miranda: "Good. You have to take the book safe back to the library."
Geovanna: "What?"
Miranda: "You heard me. You have to put it back. I'm surprised that seņora Velez didn't notice that it was missing this morning. Where is it? I'll put it back."
Geovanna: "I'm not taking it back, and neither are you."
Miranda: "But..."
Geovanna: "No buts. I'm keeping it until I find out what's inside. I think I'll take a look in it right now."

Geovanna opens a drawer in the vanity and takes out the same 'book safe' that Miranda had shown her the afternoon before. And the same one that she took out of the library and hid in her room the evening before when she got back from the Annual Douglas Richmond Party. It is a large book covered in red with a black spine. Geovanna holds it and then goes to open it, but it doesn't open. She looks at Miranda in shock. Miranda looks down at it confused, as Geovanna tries to get it open.

Megan's Apartment <Entrance>
Brittany stands at the entrance door and stares at the man in shock.

Brittany: "Mr. Munch, I think you do have the wrong apartment after all."
Herbert: "Now, wait a minute, you said that Megan is here."
Brittany: "She is, but you must have her confused with someone else. Perhaps another girl named Megan lives in this lovely building?"
Herbert: "No, this is the only one."
Brittany: "Well, I don't understand because Megan is a model girl. She's perfect in every way. She would never throw a loud party or anything that you're accusing her of."

Megan comes up behind Brittany.

Megan: "Hiya Mr. Munch. Can I help you with something?"
Herbert: "Hi there sweetheart. I was just talking to your nice friend here."
Megan: "Oh really? What about?"
Brittany: "He says that you throw wild parties and you never pay your rent on time. I told him that he's wrong, but he doesn't believe me."
Megan: "Mr. Munch...!"
Herbert: "Calm down. I was just pulling your leg, young lady. Megan is the perfect tenant."
Megan: "Awe. Thank you!"
Herbert: "No problem. I give compliments where compliments are deserved. Well, I just wanted to tell you that Ms. Jenkins down the hall died this morning."
Megan: "Oh no. What happened to her?"
Herbert: "Just old age. It was very sudden."
Megan: "Well, I'm sorry to hear that. Thank you for telling me. I'll have to pay my respects to her family. She was such a wonderful woman."
Herbert: "That she was. I thought I'd tell you first and let you know that obviously now that apartment is vacant. If you know anyone who is looking for an apartment who is as pleasant as you just let me know."
Megan: "Okay. I will. I actually already have someone in mind."
Herbert: "I have to be off now. Let me know if anyone is interested."
Megan: "I will Mr. Munch. Goodbye!"

Megan closes the door and turns to Brittany.

Megan: "It's perfect! You can move down the hall and we'll be neighbors!"

Brittany half smiles.

Megan: "Don't you think that's a good idea? Wouldn't it be fun to live ten feet away from each other?"
Brittany: "I don't know. I mean, I kind of have an uneasy feeling about living in a house where a woman just died."
Megan: "It's not like she was brutally murdered or something. She died of old age, probably in her bed and that won't be there if you move in. Come on, it'll be so much fun."
Brittany: "Okay, I guess I can. I mean, you'll have to give me all the details, like how much the rent is and stuff like that."
Megan: "I will! Oh my God! This is so great! I can't wait until you get to move in!"

Brittany and Megan sit down on the couch and talk excitedly.

Cortez Home <Living Room>
A tear falls down the side of Maria's face. She wipes it away quickly.

Mariah: "I am so sorry Maria. I really didn't mean to say that."
Maria: "Well, you did. I'm sorry you said it too."
Mariah: "What?"
Maria: "Just leave me alone. I tried to comfort you and tried to make you realize that you were getting way too emotional over something that you shouldn't get that emotional over. Then you go off on me like that. Don't look for anymore sympathy from me."

Maria walks out of the room.

Mariah: "Maria! Come back. Come back!"

Maria doesn't come back and Mariah flops herself down on the couch. She lets out a big sigh. A tear comes down the side of her face.

Mariah: "This day can't get any worse. I found my boyfriend practically cheating on me with someone who he used to be engaged to and now my sister is terribly mad at me. Nothing more can go wrong, I hope."

Mariah sighs again and leans her head back on the couch and closes her eyes. Maria walks into her bedroom. She stands at the window and looks down at the pier. Another tear comes to her eye.

Maria: "I've never had a boyfriend...how pathetic. Just yesterday I was upset at how popular Mariah is and how much of a nothing I am and then she goes and rubs it in my face right after I've been comforting her. I think Mariah needs a reality check to realize that she isn't the queen of Watersdale or anything else. She's nobody special. And a reality check is exactly what I am going to give her."

Velez Mansion <Geovanna's Bedroom>
Geovanna tries to pull the cover off of the 'book safe' but it isn't working.

Geovanna: "Damn this thing. What the hell is wrong with it?"
Miranda: "It must have some type of lock on it. That is what's preventing you from opening it. It has to be."

Geovanna examines the 'book safe,' she notices a hole on the side.

Geovanna: "You're right Miranda. Here's a hole for a key. Damn. How am I going to open this now? I have to get to what's inside! I have to find out if Santa helped in murdering my mother."
Miranda: "I don't think you'll be able to open this without having the key. Unless you break it, and I wouldn't suggest that."
Geovanna: "You're right, I can't break it."
Miranda: "Do you really think that something incriminating against seņora Velez would be in there? I mean, I just think that if she wanted to hide information about that then it wouldn't be in such an obvious place."
Geovanna: "Where else could it be Miranda?"
Miranda: "Tons of places."
Geovanna: "I almost died myself when my mother was shot. I loved her so much. I know that Santa had something to do with it. I know it."
Miranda: "What if she didn't have something to do with it? Then you'd be in so much trouble, because then you wouldn't have had a reason for doing what you did."
Geovanna: "What do you mean by 'what I did'?"
Miranda: "I didn't mean to say that. I should go and tell Leonardo when to have the car ready."
Geovanna: "That can wait. I want to know what you meant by what you said and I want to know now."

Geovanna stares at Miranda waiting for an answer. Miranda is terrified.

Wilson Home <Front Porch>
Dominique has now gained control again and has her confidence back. Suddenly Roger begins to laugh sinisterly. Dominique looks scared again.

Roger: "I have to hand it to you Dominique. You are trying."
Dominique: "What do you mean?"
Roger: "I mean bravo on that amazing performance. You actually looked like you were back in the driver's seat. Once again, you're fooled. You can't scare me with your little threats to reveal my secret. I mean, really, if you sit back and think about it, whose secret will Kyle be more upset about? 'Roger is doing drugs again and is involved with loan sharks' or 'Matthew isn't your son.' If you think that he'll go after me, before he goes for you, you better think again."

Dominique begins crying again. She begins to plead again.

Dominique: "No. Don't do it. Please don't do it. If not for me, then do it for Kyle and for Matt. They'll be so hurt if they know about this."
Roger: "I'll think about it. But, really, I can't believe you haven't asked me how I found out about all of this."
Dominique: "That's right. You couldn't have known all along."
Roger: "But I did. I knew a long time ago. I've been keeping this secret for quite a while now. It's becoming so strenuous to keep it a secret though."
Dominique: "How did you know the whole time?"
Roger: "Well, about two months ago I was going to my room and saw you crying into a pillow when I passed by your room. I was going to come in to comfort you, but then you said something that troubled me. I thought I heard you wrong at first, but then you said it again and I knew what I was hearing."
Dominique: "Oh my God. You heard what I said."
Roger: "If Kyle ever finds out that Matt isn't his son, if anyone ever finds out, I'll be ruined. Does that sound familiar?"
Dominique: "You've known for so long. Why didn't you tell me anything?"
Roger: "I was waiting for the perfect opportunity, and I got it yesterday. I knew what you said. I was only badgering you to see if you would for some strange reason confess to me, but you didn't and then you found out about me and I was forced to bring it out."
Dominique: "You're horrible."
Roger: "Dominique, listen, if you keep my secret, then I'll promise to keep your secret until I think it's necessary that Kyle know the truth."
Dominique: "Roger, that..."
Roger: "Take it or leave it."
Dominique: "Fine. You keep my secret, I keep your secret."

Suddenly Matt walks out onto the porch.

Matt: "What secret mommy? Can I know the secret too?"

Dominique and Roger look at Matt, both speechless.

Richmond Mansion <Long Corridor>
Andrea walks down the long, tall corridor of the stately Richmond mansion. Only the sound of her heels on the floor can be heard as she walks past the beautiful art work and doors leading into bedrooms, libraries, studies, only God knows what else. Suddenly a door is heard being opened. Andrea stops walking and stands very still and quiet. She hears the sound of heels walking towards her. Next is a woman's voice.

Woman: "Excuse me, can I help you with something?"

Andrea turns to face the woman. She's shocked.

Andrea: "Constance Richmond."
Constance: "That would be me. Who are you?"
Andrea: "I'm...I'm Andrea O'Keffe. Pleased to meet you madam Richmond."
Constance: "What are you doing here?"
Andrea: "I was...um...I'm actually here to see your darling son, but I was just looking for the powder room."
Constance: "You say that you're here to speak with my son. What for?"
Andrea: "We need to talk about my daughter. They just started dating you know?"
Constance: "I didn't know. At any rate, the powder room is that third door on the left from here."
Andrea: "Thank you."

Andrea turns and walks to the third door and looks at Constance, who looks very suspicious of her, before walking into the room. In the grand room Jim is sitting on the sofa still waiting for Douglas and worrying about Andrea, hoping she'll be back soon. He hears someone walking towards the room and stands up. Douglas walks in.

Doulgas: "Mr. O'Keffe. What a pleasure it is to meet you. Where is the lovely Mrs. O'Keffe? I'm sure Bernard told me that Mr. and Mrs. O'Keffe were here."
Jim: "Mrs. O'Keffe went to the kitchen to ask for some water. She wasn't feeling well. It's nice to meet you Master Douglas.
Douglas: "Oh, don't call me Master Douglas. Douglas will be just fine. Only the servants here call me Master Douglas. I think it's silly. Any way, what is it that you wanted to talk to me about?"
Jim: "Well, I suppose I'll have to do this without Andrea...so...

Suddenly Constance and Andrea walk into the room

Douglas: "Mother, Mrs. O'Keffe. I suppose the two of you have met?"
Constance: "Yes we have. Mrs. O'Keffe here was on her way to the powder room when I found her. I believe she was lost."
Douglas: "Mr. O'Keffe, I thought you said that she went to the kitchen for some water?"
Jim: "She said that is where she was going. Didn't you tell me that dear?"

Andrea looks worried. Jim thinks to himself: "I'd like to see you get out of this one."

Andrea: "Well sweetheart, I did tell you that is where I was going, but I thought that would be rude, so I decided to try and find the powder room instead."
Douglas: "Would you like some water now? I can ring for Bernard."
Andrea: "No, that's quite alright, thank you though."
Constance: "Mrs. OKeffe, I don't believe that I've met your husband yet."
Andrea: "Oh, I'm sorry madam Richmond. This is my husband Jim. Jim, this is madam Constance Richmond, Douglas's mother."
Jim: "It's a pleasure to make your acquaintance."
Constance: "I'm sure. Well, I really must be going. Douglas, I will see you at dinner. Mr. and Mrs. O'Keffe, it was nice meeting you."

Constance kisses Douglas on the cheek and then exits. Andrea sits down on the couch next to Jim and Douglas sits at the couch directly across from them.

Douglas: "Now, what is this about?"
Andrea: "Brittany."

Jim elbows Andrea in the side. She shuts up.

Jim: "Douglas, I'd first like to say that I feel honored that you asked my daughter to dance with you last night. I'd also like to say that it was very nice of you to take her to your private boat and it's nice to know that you did not take advantage of her."
Douglas: "It was my pleasure to be with your daughter last night. She's an amazing person. I really like her."
Jim: "I'm glad. She told us that you asked her to date you last night and that she said yes."
Douglas: "That's right."
Jim: "Well, Brittany was too hurt to tell you this herself, but she didn't mean to say yes."
Douglas: "Excuse me?"
Jim: "I'm sorry Douglas, but she didn't mean to say yes. She doesn't want to date you anymore. She never wanted to date you at all."

Andrea has a pleasant look on her face because she is so happy at how well Jim lied. Douglas's jaw almost hits the floor when he hears this. He just looks back and forth at Andrea and Jim with a confused and shocked expression on his face.
