Watersdale Local Morgue (Office Area)

Lindsey and Paul look at Mr. Linden in shock, not able to believe what he has just said.

"Is this some kind of sick joke that you're pulling here, Mr. Linden?" Paul questions.

"I wouldn't joke about something like this, Mr. Forbes. I really do not know what happened to, or where, your son's body could be, and I'm very sorry for that. I was responsible for it and now it's come up missing." Mr. Linden replies in a low tone of voice.

"How could you loose a dead body? There's no explanation for it!" Lindsey yells.

"I suspect that it was stolen, however strange that may sound." Mr. Linden continues, "I really can't say that something like this has ever happened before. I'm very sorry, but I really don't know what to do. I don't even know if there is anything that I could do."

"I can't believe it. This is just too unreal." Paul says, still in shock. "You're really serious. My son's body is missing, or has been stolen."

"There really isn't any other explanation." Mr. Linden states.

Lindsey notices the horrified look on Paul face. She wraps her arm around his shoulder. "I can't believe it, either, Mr. Forbes."

"I'll give the two of you a moment alone." Mr. Linden says quietly as he exits the room.

Paul begins to cry and soon after, Lindsey follows suit. "This is too much for me to handle, Lindsey. First, my only son is murdered. Now, his body has been stolen."

"It's just as hard on me too, Mr. Forbes. I can't believe that I'm about to say this," Lindsey hesitantly continues, "but, maybe it's for our own good. Maybe it's better for the both of us that Jason's body is gone."

Paul slightly turns his head and looks at Lindsey, confused.

Watersdale Memorial Cemetery (Lot B31)

Kyle Wilson's speech about his brother, Roger, has just been cut short because of gunshots flying through the cemetery. Everyone remains lying on the ground as more gunshots fly above their heads. Kyle begins to crawl to his family, to be sure that they are all right. They are fine and Dominique has the children covered. The guns continue to go off and the casket containing Rogers' body has been hit many times. Kyle crawls over to the casket and bravely peers over the side of it to see if he can get a glimpse at the shooters. He sees two men standing about fifteen feet away from the scene shooting their guns. They look oddly familiar to him, but he must duck down once again as they continue to shoot. All of a sudden the constant banging sound stops for a moment. Then one sole shot is let out and a scream is let loose. Everyone gasps as they continue to lay on the floor, but also try to look around to see who's been shot. Kyle immediately looks over at Dominique, Alexis and Matt. Dominique isn't moving. "No…Dominique." He nervously whispers to himself as he quickly begins to crawl towards her.

South Sea Watersdale Hospital (Megan's Room)

Patty, a nurse at the hospital, rushes into the room followed by two other nurses, and Dr. Lewis. Megan's eyes are open and she looks weak, but she is lucid and aware. She looks around at everyone. "Where's my mother?" She asks weakly.

None of the nurses or Dr. Lewis knows what to say to her. They know nothing of her mother. Dr. Lewis takes her hand in his and rubs the top of it with his other, and says gently, "Don't worry, Miss Shirley. It looks like you're going to be all right, after all. You had us quite scared for a while."

Megan looks at him strangely. "Where's my mother, I said."

Dr. Lewis really doesn't know what to say, so Patty cuts in and looks at her and smiles. "She's not here right now. I'm sure she'll be here later, though."

"Oh." Megan says, simply. She then places her head back down calmly onto her pillow and tilts her head to the side. She looks as though she is in a daze.

Dr. Lewis takes Patty aside. "Why did you tell her that? Do you know who her mother is and if she is going to be here?"

"No, of course I don't, but it calmed her down. I'm sure she is just hallucinating. Her mother is obviously not a part of her life, if she's been here this long and the only two people who have been in to visit her are friends."

"Well, speaking of those friends, I need you to call them. Make sure they get here as soon as possible. I know that they'll be pleased to know that Megan has come too, and that she is going to be just fine."

Patty nods 'yes' and quickly walks out into the hallway and down towards the nurses station. Andrea walks towards her.

"You're back so soon?" Patty asks her.

"Yeah. I went home and got cleaned up and now I'm back and ready to work. I still don't have a clue as to what happened to me earlier."

"Neither do I, but are you sure that you're all right. I think you should have Dr. Blake or Dr. Lewis, someone check you out."

"I told you, Patty, I'm fine. Thanks for you concern, though. Anyway, has there been any development in any of my patients?"

"Is Megan Shirley one of your patients?"

"No, but my daughter is her best friend and I've known her for quite some time. Has her condition changed?" Andrea says in a concerned, yet suspicious voice.

"Yes. She's finally come too and Dr. Lewis says that she's going to be just fine! Isn't that wonderful?" Patty answers in a cheerful voice.

Andrea looks at her in shock. In total disbelieve that Megan has come too and that she will be just fine. "Damn that girl. I wanted her dead so that Brittany would suffer!" She thinks to herself.

"Well, Andrea, I have to go and call your daughter and her boyfriend and let them know of Megan's change." Patty interrupts Andrea's thoughts and then continues to walk towards the nurse's station.

Andrea stops her in her tracks when she screams, "No! You can't do that!"

Patty turns and looks back at Andrea, confused.

Quinn Home (Ellen's Bedroom)

Ellen is writing in her diary when there is a knock on the door. She stands up and opens it. Amy is standing on the other side.

"Can I come in?" Amy asks shyly.

"Sure." Ellen replies as her younger sister enters the room.

Amy turns to face Ellen after she closes the door. "I just want to say that I'm sorry. What happened to you is all my fault."

"How do you figure?" Ellen questions as she steps closer to Amy.

"I shouldn't have said what I did at the funeral home before you left. I feel horrible. I didn't mean any of it. I just wish that I wouldn't have said anything, because if I wouldn't have, then you wouldn't have been raped. You wouldn't have left the funeral home alone, like you did." Amy stops as she begins to get choked up and starts to cry. "I'm so sorry Ellen. Can you ever forgive me?"

Ellen is touched by what she is seeing and hearing coming from Amy and she steps closer and the two sister's embrace.

"I'm sorry, too." Ellen says. "I know that I've been a bitch for a while, but I've just been under so much stress. Being a senior in high school is tough. Besides that, you know that mom and dad have been having relationship problems. It's all just been way too much for me. I took mostly all of my anger out on you, and I'm sorry for that."

The two separate and look at each other sincerely.

"So, does this mean that we are turning over a new leaf?" Amy asks.

"Yes. I really want to. I don't want to fight with you anymore. I want our family to come together again and be as happy as it used to be. Our fighting is making all of us miserable. If mom and dad have been able to reconcile, then we can, right?"

"That's right. I'm so happy. I know that we can do this. I mean, we're sisters. We're supposed to be here for each other."

They smile at each other and embrace once more.

Velez Mansion (Geovanna's Bedroom)

Miranda walks into Geovanna's bedroom to find her sitting at her vanity applying make-up.

"You wanted to speak with me, señora?"

"Yes, Miranda. I was just wondering if you know where Santa is."

"I believe she left this morning for the office. She has some big meeting with another company. I think that there is a business merger on the way."

"I hope she knows that she won't be using either one of my children for it." Geovanna says seriously as she continues to apply her make-up to her face and neck. "Anyway, I'm happy she's out of the mansion for a while. It'll give us a chance to continue our search. We haven't been able to come up with anything thus far, but I have a feeling that today will be the day. We're going to blow Santa Santiago-Velez right out of the water. You just wait and see Miranda. Our finest hour has yet to come."

Miranda looks at Geovanna with worried eyes, as she sits there in front of her, with the largest smile she's ever seen on anyone.

South Sea Watersdale Hospital (Hallway)

"What did you say, Andrea?" Patty asks suspiciously. "Why don't you want me to call your daughter and her boyfriend? I know that they are good friends of Megan. I'm sure they'll be happy to hear about her improvement."

"I didn't say that I didn't want you to call them, Patty. I said that you couldn't." Andrea continues as she thinks of things to say as she goes along. "There's a big difference."

"Then please explain why I can't call. I don't understand. It's like you're afraid that your daughter is going to find out that Megan is better."

"Well…I…you see, you can't call Brittany because she and Douglas are out of town. They left this morning to spend the day at his families beach house in Richmond." Andrea lies.

"Oh, I understand. But, doesn't you daughter have a cellular telephone? I wouldn't be ruining anything if I called. I'm sure she'd want someone to call if Megan's condition has changed." Patty says still suspicious of Andrea, as she, and everyone always is.

"Normally, Patty, I'd agree with you, but she left her cell phone at home. She really doesn't want to be bothered all day." Andrea continues to lie.

"Okay then. I'll just go back to Megan's room." Patty says awkwardly as she begins to walks towards the room.

"You do that, and give Megan my best. And, don't you worry, as soon as Brittany gets back tonight, I'll tell her the great news." Andrea yells towards Patty as she walks away. As soon as Patty is out of earshot, Andrea lets out a sigh of relief. "Thank God that over-weight nosey bitch stopped questioning me. I don't know if I'd be able to come up with another lie to bide my time." She sighs again. "I can't believe that Megan survived. I can't believe that she came too. I was sure that she was going to die. And, she would have if I hadn't been electrocuted when I tried to pull the plug. That girl has someone up there watching over her. Damn her. Oh well, even though she's not dead, I can still make Brittany suffer. I think I'll pay her a little visit." She starts down the hall towards the exit, headed for Megan's apartment, where Brittany is staying.

Watersdale Memorial Cemetery (Lot B31)

Kyle reaches his family. He believes that Dominique has been shot, but sees that she is fine and only trying to cover her children.

"Is it safe? Are they gone?" Dominique whispers to Kyle in the sudden silence.

"It's all right, everyone!" Chief Carter yells towards the funeral crowd. "I've got these scum bags in my custody. Is anybody hurt?" He continues, as he nears the crowd, which is starting to come too again.

"It doesn't seem as though anybody is hurt." Kyle assumes.

Chief Carter looks around a little bit and sees that nobody has been hit. He goes over to Kyle and takes him aside, "I see that the casket has a few holes in it and a few gouges taken out of it from the bullets. The police department will pay for a new casket, all right?"

"Thank you."

"I'm going to run these two guys in and have them questioned. You'll be the first to know, if I find out anything." Chief Carter says as he begins to walk backwards, away from Kyle. He then turns and goes to his police car. Kyle can't help it, and he takes a look at the two men sitting in the back of the police car. It was Donny and Tiny, the two men that he worked for when he was mixed up with drugs. Kyle couldn't understand why they were back. Roger had lost all contact and association with them over two years ago, so he thought. Kyle forgets about it for the moment and goes back to the crowd.

"I'm sorry, everyone. That was such a terrible thing to have happened and I really don't understand it. However, I would like to thank all of you for the support that you've given my family and I, trough this time of pain. Even though Rogers burial will be postponed, I wouldn't want to have you all come back here, so only family will be present when Roger is buried. Thank you everyone for coming today. I really appreciate it." Kyle says, as gently as he can covering up his rage for what just happened.

The crowd starts to clear. Dominique, Alexis and Matt all walk over to Kyle; they all embrace.

Watersdale Local Morgue (Office Area)

"What do you mean by saying that, Lindsey?" Paul asks confused about what she has just said. "You said that maybe this is a good thing that Jason's body is missing? Did I hear you wrong?"

"No, Mr. Forbes, you heard me correctly. I just meant that maybe it's better that we don't have to go through the pain of having to have a wake and funeral for Jason. It would just hurt us even more." Lindsey tries to explain her point of view on the situation.

"And you think that this doesn't hurt? How can you be so calm? First, he's murdered and now his dead body has been stolen." Paul continues as he cries. "It's worse this way. I would have been able to keep my composure at a funeral or at a wake. This is just shocking. Who on earth would steal a dead body, and why?"

"I'm shocked too, and this is hurtful. I mean, to not know where his body is really does much worse then having to go through a wake a funeral. I guess I was just trying to come up with a brighter point of view." Lindsey regrets.

"I understand. Don't worry about it. But, you have to understand. There isn't any bright side of this. For one thing, Jason's dead, and that hurts in it self. Now, to not know where his body is and not being able to remember him the way he deserved, well, that's quite another, and it hurts as well." Paul says calmly.

"So, what do we do now?"

"I don't know about you, but I'm going to do everything I can to find my sons body. I'm also going to make the person who stole it pay, for putting the both of us through this. Whoever did this is going to be very sorry. After that, I'm going to give Jason a proper wake and burial."

"I still can't figure out why anybody would want to steal a dead body. Who would do something like that, anyway?"

Out in the hall, Mr. Linden is eavesdropping on their conversation. He pulls out a wad of money from his coat pocket, and looks at it. "Who would do something like that, you ask? Well, I'm the only one who knows and I've been paid off, so, I'll never tell ya. I should at least tell Paul not to waste his time, because he'll never find that boys body. I can't. If I say anything that might make them suspicious, then I'd wish I were the one who died. That was made very clear. I can't say a word. I just have to continue this charade until they give up." He walks away from the door, and down the hall.

Velez Mansion (Geovanna's Bedroom)

"All of this sounds very familiar to me, señora. You once said that you were going to blow Santa out of the water before, but you never did. Don't you remember all of the times that we were almost caught snooping around? Thank God that you finally found the key to the book-safe, or we'd still be looking for that key." Miranda continues, trying to coax Geovanna out of her plan. "When you finally got that book-safe open, you saw that your mother's pearls were not in there. Where else could they be?"

"Miranda, don't be silly, there are a million places where Santa could have hidden those pearls. I'm going to find them, and when I do, I'm going to use them to prove that Santa had a motive to kill my mother."

"You can't be so sure that she does have them, that she does have them hidden."

"Oh yes I can be. I'm positive. Don't you remember the other night when my mother appeared to me? She told me that Santa has them, that she's hiding them somewhere in this mansion. She wants me to find them and give Santa everything that she's got coming to her. I'm going to do just that. I'd do anything for my mother, especially now since she's dead. If she wants me to avenge her murder, then I will."

"I forgot about the super-natural experience that you think you had." Miranda says quickly, with an attitude.

"Don't get snippy with me. I don't think that I had a super-natural experience. I know that I had one. My mother reached to me from beyond the grave. That says a lot."

"Yeah, it says that you're insane."

"I'm not speaking with you about it anymore. Believe what you want. I know what I saw and I know real from fake."

"You know, I was just thinking. If some tabloid or some society reporter knew about this, they'd let everyone know and you'd be the laughing stock of the country club."

"Don't you even think about selling me out. I'd kill you."

"Señora, stop your worrying. I wouldn't do something like that to you. You should know better."

"Well, just making sure. Listen, I need to take a trip to the country club. I have a meeting over there with the Woman's League. I'll be back later, and hopefully Santa won't be back and we'll be able to continue our mission."

"Your mission." Miranda responds quickly.

"Whatever. I'll see you later." Geovanna says as she exits the room.

Quinn Home (Living Room)

Ellen walks down the stairs and heads for the front door. Jennifer walks out of the kitchen and sees that Ellen is about to leave. She stops her.

"Hey! Where do you think you're going?" Jennifer says loud enough for Ellen to stop as she makes her way towards her.

"I'm going for my job interview. Don't you remember? I have an interview with Mr. Bradley Blake today. He's in search of a personal secretary." Jennifer looks at Ellen strangely as she says this. Ellen continues, "Does this ring any bells? I told you about this last week."

"I remember, it's just that, I don't think that you should go out by yourself." Jennifer says concerned.

"It's all right mom. I'll be fine. I can't stop living because of what happened last night." She continues, "Besides, that was late at night. It was dark and nobody was around. It's daylight out and Watersdale is alive. Don't worry about me, I'll be fine. I'm just really happy that I don't have any large bruises on my face. I was able to cover up those two cuts."

"I guess you're right. Just be careful, okay?"

"I will. You have nothing to worry about."

"Do you at least want me to give you a ride to the Blake mansion?"

"No, I'll be fine. You have to get ready for work."

"Okay, honey. Come here." Jennifer pulls Ellen into a big hug and kisses her on her forehead. "I love you, sweetheart, and you be careful. I want you home right after that interview. If you need a ride, then you call your father."

"I will. I'll see you later. Wish me luck!" Ellen says quickly as she walks out the door.

Jennifer stands alone looking at the closed door that her daughter just walked out of. "Good luck, sweetheart." She says quietly.

Watersdale Local Morgue (Office Area)

Lindsey and Paul sit quietly in two chairs next to each other, when Mr. Linden walks back into the office.

"Once again, Mr. Forbes and Miss Velez, I'm very sorry for what happened to Jason." Mr. Linden says politely.

"Yeah, so am I. You're actually pretty lucky that I don't sue you for everything you've got." Paul replies. "I trusted you and this morgue with my sons body, to prepare it for his wake, and you decide to go ahead and loose it, or have it stolen." Paul stands up and begins to walk towards Mr. Linden, "I'm so angry right now that I could probably knock you out and not feel sorry for it."

Lindsey quickly stands up and pulls Paul back. "Mr. Forbes, please. Calm down."

"I agree, calm down. This is not my fault."

"Really? Then who is at fault, then, huh? It certainly isn't my fault. It's not Lindsey fault." Paul yells at him.

"You're right, but I didn't invite someone in here to steal his body, either." Mr. Linden replies.

"I suggest you get a new security system. The one have now failed you…and us." Paul turns to Lindsey, "Let's go. I can't be here for another minute."

Lindsey follows Paul out of the office. Mr. Linden takes a seat at his desk and puts his face into his hands. He then looks up towards the ceiling and says, "Forgive me Lord. I know what I did was wrong, but I had to do it. I wasn't given any other choice."

Falls Street Apartment Building (Megan's Apartment: 3A)

Andrea walks down the bright hallway towards the door right at the end. She stands in front of it for a moment and then knocks. Soon, Brittany comes to the door and opens it.

"What are you doing here?" Brittany greets Andrea.

"Nice to see you too. May I come in?"

"No. What do you want?"

"I have some news that you might be interested in knowing." Andrea says as she steps past Brittany and into the compact apartment.

"I don't seem to remember inviting you in." Brittany says with a slam of the door.

"Listen, I'm not here to fight with you. I already told you that I was sorry for what I did. I realize that it was wrong. You didn't want to forgive me though. I don't know what else I can do."

"I'll tell you what you can do. You can stay out of my life forever. I don't know how many times I've told you that already." Brittany re-opens the door and points out towards the hall. "You can leave now."

Andrea walks towards the door and walks back out into the hallway and turns to face Brittany again. "I'm going to leave you with this. I know…" she is cut off when Brittany slams the door in her face. She then years a yell from inside.

"Goodbye, mother! I don't want to hear anything that you have to say."

Brittany sits on the couch and then hears her mother yell in through the door, "I'm going to tell you anyway. Your little friend…Megan…she's dead!"

Andrea stands there for a moment and there is silence. She turns and starts to walk down the hall, but the door opens and she turns back to see a shocked Brittany looking at her. She holds back a smile as she watches the tears begin to run down the side of her daughter's face.

Quinn Home (Living Room)

Jennifer is sitting on the couch watching television. Her doorbell rings and she quickly goes over to answer it.

"Dominique, hi! Come on in." Jennifer says cheerfully as Dominique walks through the doorway. "I thought you'd still be at the funeral."

"Well, I was. You wouldn't believe what happened." Dominique says, still in shock.

"What happened? You sound worried. Did something bad happen?"

"Bad is an understatement. What happened was horrific. You see, Kyle was in the middle of his speech about Roger when all of sudden we heard gunshots. Two men were firing at all of us at the funeral." Dominique says with still a bit of a shaky voice.

"Oh my God. Did anybody get hurt?" Jennifer asks worried.

"No, everybody fine. They were even able to catch the guys. They were taken in for questioning."

"Oh. That's horrible. I don't understand what's going on. So many bad things have been happening."

"Speaking of bad things, have you heard from Ellen? That was pretty bad when she turned up missing."

"She came home, but not until this morning."

"Where was she all night? Did she have a good explanation?"

"She was raped." Jennifer says softly.

Dominique gasps and covers her mouth with her hand. "Oh God. How is she doing? That must have been horrible for her."

"It was. She was a total mess. I didn't think we'd be able to calm her down. But she's fine now. She's got a few bruises and cuts, but nothing really major. She says that she's feeling much better and that she just wants to move on with her life. She's actually in an interview with Bradley Blake right now. He's looking for a new personal secretary and she thinks she'll be perfect for the job." Jennifer smiles lightly.

"That's good. She's got a good head on her shoulders. However, I hope Sam and you are not planning on just letting this slide by. You have to look into this. Try and get Ellen to help you too. You should try and find out who did this to her." Dominique says seriously.

"Sam has every intention on doing that." She changes the subject. "But, anyway, the bank called and gave me the day off. I was so thrilled. I wasn't looking forward to going in there today. So, I'm able to watch my soap today. Come on and watch it with me."

They sit beside each other on the couch and watch the television intently.

"I haven't watched this one is so long." Dominique says as she begins to laugh. "I remember when Maxine was dating those twins."

"Oh yeah, and the one turned out to be a clone." Jennifer continues. "That was a great storyline."

"It sure was. But, what's going on now? Why is Lizzie crying?" Dominique asks as the soap begins to gain her interest again.

"Well, her husband just found out that the son that he thought was his really belongs to some guy that she used to date. It's just a big mess. But, she shouldn't have kept it a secret for so long."

Dominique gasps and quickly stands up and turns away from Jennifer. She covers her mouth with her hand as she begins to sob. Jennifer comes up behind her and turns her around so she can see her face.

"Dominique. What's wrong? Why did that get to you so much?"

Dominique looks at Jennifer, still crying, and not knowing what to say.

Velez Mansion (Kitchen)

Miranda is in the kitchen helping Marjorie cut up some vegetables for the stir-fry that she is going to be making for dinner later on in the day. Bianca runs into the kitchen frantic.

"Oh my goodness. I don't know what I'm going to do. Señora Velez is going to kill me!" She screams.

"What are you talking about?" Marjorie asks.

"The toilet in Señora Velez's bathroom. It's overflowing and I can't get it to stop! It's going to get on the carpet and she's going to kill me!" Bianca begins to cry.

"Calm down! I'll go and stop it. She's not going to kill you! My goodness, you'd think you killed someone the way you're acting!" Miranda yells at her. "Come on. I'll show you how to make it stop."

"No, I don't want to go up there."

"Fine." Miranda says as she leaves the kitchen and heads for upstairs. She mumbles things to herself about Bianca on her way up. As she nears the room she can hear the water hitting the floor. She goes into the bedroom and then into the bathroom. She tiptoes, trying not to get too much water on her shoes and stockings. She reaches under the toilet and turns the knob, but it doesn't stop. She takes the lid off the back and reaches in and pulls a small plug. The water stops overflowing. Before she puts the cover back on the back of the toilet, she notices what looks like a small box in the tank. The pulls it out and sees that it's covered in black plastic. "I wonder what this is." She says to herself as she examines the small box that is covered in black plastic.
