The Lives we Live - Episode #17
Episode #17 - May 19, 2001

Abandoned Warehouse
Roger stands with his back to Tiny. Donny lays on the floor unconscious. Tiny points his gun at Roger's back and Roger holds the gun he stole from Donny in front of himself.

Tiny: "You just don't give up, do you Roger? Well, I'm going to get rid of you right now…you won't be able to get away after I kill you. Now, turn around. I want you to see your face when I shoot you."
Roger: "Listen man, I was only…"
Tiny: "I said turn around, now!"

Roger begins to turn around very slowly, then he quickly finishes turning around and he faces Tiny. They stand about 10 feet away from each other. Roger quickly extends his arm and Tiny reacts. Two gun shots go off. Roger and Tiny both fall to the ground. They both lay there motionless.

Park Street
Dominique walks into the coffeehouse and goes over to the counter. Maria is standing behind it, but has her back turned to the crowd of people in the coffeehouse as she prepares a pot of coffee. Dominique stands there patiently and waits for Maria to finish what she is doing. Finally she turns around.

Maria: "Good evening Mrs. Wilson, how are you?"
Dominique: "I'm doing okay, thank you Maria. How about you?"
Maria: "I'm good. What can I get you?"
Dominique: "Um…something strong."
Maria: "Is something wrong Mrs. Wilson?"
Dominique: "Uh…um, no. Why would you ask that?"
Maria: "I've always thought that you stayed in your house after eight o'clock at night. Ever since I was your student."
Dominique: "You're right, I'm not usually out at this hour, but I have an important meeting with someone. I'm kind of tired today, so I thought that I'd get some type of strong coffee that'll keep me awake during this meeting."
Maria: "No need to explain to me. I was just worried something was wrong. But, anyway, you asked for a strong coffee. I'd suggest the Texas Red Eye. That's pretty strong."
Dominique: "I'll trust you and I'll have a medium to go."
Maria: "Coming right up."

Maria prepares Dominique's coffee and then turns back to her and hands it to her. Dominique then pays for it and gets the change.

Dominique: "Thank you again Maria. Take care."
Maria: "You too Mrs. Wilson. Bye."

Dominique walks out of the coffeehouse and sits on a bench close by.

Dominique: "Where could David be? He said eight o'clock and it's almost eight thirty. I hope he didn't forget."

Dominique remains seated and drinks some of her coffee. Then all of a sudden a car zips around the corner and then pulls up directly in front of her and stops. The passenger side door is facing her and the window lowers. She sees David sitting at the steering wheel. She gets very nervous and sits there staring at him.

Richmond Mansion
Brittany and Douglas are sitting together on the couch.

Brittany: "Doug, are you going to tell me what my parents said? I really wish you would because if I knew what they said then maybe I can get an idea as to why they said it, or better yet what it was that could possibly make you get so upset with me."
Douglas: "You honestly don't know."
Brittany: "No, I don't. I already told you that?"
Douglas: "I have to get something straight with you before I tell you exactly what your parents said."
Brittany: "Yes?"
Douglas: "Did you know that they were coming here?"
Brittany: "No, not at all. That's why I was so surprised when I called here and your butler told me that you didn't want to speak with me. He then told me that my parents were here. Then I knew that you must be mad at me for something that they either did or said. What was it?"
Douglas: "How can I be certain that you're not bluffing? That you and your parents didn't came up with some scheme, but now you regret it so you thought up another scheme to try and get me back."
Brittany: "I swear to you that I wouldn't do something like that. After the night we spent together on Friday night? Why would I do something like that? My parents are the ones that are manipulative schemers. I'm not like them. As a matter of fact, I can't stand when they do things like that."
Douglas: "So what? You're saying that they came up with a scheme to break up or something? Why would they do that? Don't they like me? Do they have a bad history with my family?"
Brittany: "No, but you know what? I think I just thought of why they would want to break us up. This makes perfect sense. I promise that once you hear this story, you're going to see that there is no reason to be mad at me."
Douglas: "Go for it. I'm all hears."

Brittany straightens herself out and then begins to tell Douglas the story.

Forbes Home
Lindsey and Jason sit at the small table in the kitchen.

Lindsey: "I wish they would leave us alone."
Jason: "Oh, believe me, so do I."
Lindsey: "I'm so sorry that we have to go through this. I wish we could just have a normal relationship."
Jason: "Hey, listen to me, we do have a normal relationship. It's just that things are getting in our way, and that's bound to happen to a couple that is destined to be together. We are destined to be together and believe me we will be together no matter what your family says or thinks."
Lindsey: "I'm afraid."
Jason: "Of what? What can your family possibly do? Your brother has been warning me and threatening to fire me for weeks now. Your father has been doing the same to my father."
Lindsey: "I know, but my grandmother is the ring master in all of this, and it's like my father and brother are her own personal marionette dolls."
Jason: "How could you live your life that way?"
Lindsey: "I don't know, but they don't live their lives on their own. It's like they have this dependency on her. No matter what happens in their life they always have to run to her about it. If they catch us together, they go to her. If Jose wants to go to a party, he has to clear it with her. If my father wants to sign a contract with a new packing company, he has to clear it with her. It's crazy."
Jason: "Where do you and your mother fit in all of this? You're both so different from the rest of them."
Lindsey: "I guess that I just got my personality and my traits from my mother and her side of the family."
Jason: "You know what? I don't think that has anything to do with it. I think that you make yourself what you want yourself to be. You and your mother decided that you weren't going to be trapped in what seems to be a game for your grandmother. I think she gets her kicks out of playing God with other peoples lives."
Lindsey: "I agree and I hate to say it because she's my grandmother and no matter what, I do love her, but it is true."
Jason: "This is so special and so comforting to me. Just sitting here with you talking about our feelings about certain things."
Lindsey: "It's special to me too, but you know what? I don't want to talk about my grandmother or my family anymore. Let's talk about us."

Just then they hear the front door slam. They then hear Paul's voice call out.

Paul: "Jason! Jason! You have to stop seeing Lindsey! Where are you?"

Jason and Lindsey look at each other in shock from what they just heard. They sit still and silent and just look at one another.

Blake Mansion
The entire Blake family, Bradley, Jodi, Christina and Edwin, are sitting at the dining room table eating dinner. There is complete silence in the room.

Brad: "I don't see the point in this."
Jodi: "What are you talking about? We always have dinner together, as a family, on Sunday evenings. You know that? Why should you start complaining about it now?"
Brad: "Because we all know that we'd much rather be in other company, right?"
Jodi: "If you're going to start with that again then just bite your tongue, because I don't want to hear again and I don't want the children hearing your crazy accusations."
Edwin: "What crazy accusations?"
Christina: "Yes, what are the two of you talking about?"
Jodi: "Never mind. I don't want you two getting involved."
Edwin: "We're not children."
Jodi: "You are only sixteen, young man. Don't think that you need to know everything now that you're sixteen."
Christina: "Well, why won't you tell me, mother? I'm sure I'm old enough."
Jodi: "This is between your father and I and I don't want the two of your getting involved. That's that last that I'm saying about it, do you understand?"
Edwin: "Mother…"
Jodi: "Not another word about it! Do you understand?"
Edwin: "Yes."
Jodi: "Good."
Brad: "My, my, my Jodi. I do believe you're tense. Why is that? Are you afraid if you talk about it in front of them then the truth will come out for some reason?"
Jodi: "I don't want to talk about this anymore Brad! What don't you understand about that? Damn you! Can't we ever have a peaceful meal in this house? Can't we ever spend more then two minutes together without fighting. I'm sick of it, Brad, I'm sick of it!"

Jodi gets up and storms out of the dining room.

Christina: "Way to go father. You've seemed to make mother mad more then three times this entire weekend. That's a record for you, isn't it?"
Brad: "I don't need your wise cracks, sarcastic remarks, whatever you want to call them."
Christina: "You too must be afraid of the truth."
Brad: "That's enough Christina."
Christina: "No, it's not enough father. It's been more then enough from you for so long. You've made mother's life miserable since the day you married her. Don't think we don't know about it. Don't think that we're in the dark about this marriage. We've known what's been going on for quiet a while. I'm also sick of it. I'd think about all of this if I were you. Goodnight."

Christina leaves the dining room and Edwin and Brad remain sitting in silence. Brad then gets up and leaves the dining room as well. Edwin sits there by himself.

Black 2001 Mercedes Benz
David and Dominique are driving around town.

Dominique: "I'm sorry again for calling the mansion, but I was desperate. I really needed to speak with you about everything that's been going on."
David: "Yes, you said something about someone knowing about Matt's true paternity?"
Dominique: "Well, yes, in a way. My brother-in-law, Roger told me that he knows that Matt is not Kyle's son. He didn't say if he knew who his real father was. I don't think he does or else would have said. He told me everything else."
David: "But how long had he known before he said anything."
Dominique: "I think he said a couple of months. I'm not sure about everything that happened yesterday afternoon. It was just such a shock to hear him say that Matt is not Kyle's son, with such certainty. It scared me so much that fainted. I couldn't cover it up then. Also, I remember that he said he found out because he heard me talking to myself about it one day. I'm pretty sure I know which day he was talking about."
David: "Do you remember how much you revealed while talking to yourself about it that day?"
Dominique: "I'm pretty sure that it was a day that I was feeling down and I was looking through some mementos that I have. I think all he heard was that Matt is not Kyle's son and that if he ever found out, then my life would be ruined."
David: "You're sure? If he were to find out that Matt is a Velez then it would be much worse for all of us. You know that Kyle doesn't like my family much."
Dominique: "I know. But you know it's only because…"
David: "I don't want to talk about what happened between my family and Kyle right now. All I'm worried about is how much your brother-in-law knows about Matt's paternity."
Dominique: "I have something else to tell you."
David: "What is it?"
Dominique: "This afternoon I was at home and I decided to go onto the computer and see how the family web page that Kyle and Roger have been working on is coming along. I couldn't believe what I saw when it loaded. The headline read: Wilson son, not actually a Wilson: Dominique Wilson's secret that will destroy this family."
David: "What? How in the world did that get there?"
Dominique: "It had to be from Roger. Him and Kyle are the only two people that have access to edit that web page. Kyle most certainly doesn't know and we know that Roger knows. But the thing that bother's me is that, Roger promised me that he wouldn't tell Kyle about it."
David: "Well, technically he wasn't. He was going to let this computer web page tell him."
Dominique: "Kyle would have known that Roger put it there, seeing that he's the only other person who can access it in order to edit it."
David: "That's true. Then he must have had some type of motive, or it would benefit him. We need to find Roger and talk to him about this, but first we have to make sure that Kyle doesn't see that web page."
Dominique: "Don't worry. He won't. I've destroyed the computer. I pushed it off the desk and it broke into a million pieces."
David: "Good work. Now we can just search for Roger and find out why he did what he did, and make sure he keeps this to himself. I'll go to any lengths to keep this a secret."
Dominique: "So will I."

Dominique and David continue driving down a road as they talk.

Abandoned Warehouse
Roger, Donny and Tiny are all lying on the floor motionless. Roger's arm is extended and the gun lay's in his hand. Tiny's gun is not in his hand, but it is close by on the floor. All of a sudden Donny starts to move. He begins to wake up. He looks around and sees that both Roger and Tiny are on the floor, both appearing to be dead.

Donny: "Oh my God. They killed each other. My best partner is dead, but on the other hand Roger is dead and I don't have to listen to his excuses anymore. I still want my money though and I'll have to go after his little family to get it."

Donny manages to stand up while he is saying this. Then he sees Tiny's head jerk around a bit. He then begins to open his eyes and rolls around a little bit before standing up.

Donny: "Tiny. You're not dead. What happened?"
Tiny: "Roger tried to escape, but I caught him. He had taken your gun and when I told him to come back in here, he turned around and I saw his gun. We shot at each other. I guess I didn't get hit…but hopefully he did."
Donny: "Your arm. Tiny, you did get hit."

Tiny looks down at his arm and sees that the bullet pierced through the side of his arm. He hadn't even noticed, but now he did and it hurt like hell. Donny pulled out a handkerchief from his back pocket and wrapped it tightly around Tiny's arm.

Tiny: "So is he dead?"
Donny: "I'm not sure. I thought the both of you were dead and then you came too."
Tiny: "Hopefully he won't have the same fortune. Hopefully when I fired the gun I hit him someplace that will kill him, somewhere that he'll have no chance to survive."
Donny: "What do you say we take a look-see?"

Donny and Tiny slowly make their way over to Roger. They stand over him and then Donny squats down beside him and feels' for a pulse.

Tiny: "Anything? Is he dead?"

Donny puts his finger up to Tiny telling him to wait. He then continues to feel around on Roger. He then puts the side of his face close to Rogers' mouth and his chest. He looks up at Tiny.

Donny: "Mission complete. Roger Wilson is dead."

Donny and Tiny smile at each other and then look down at Rogers' lifeless body.

Forbes House
Paul walks into the kitchen and sees that Lindsey is sitting at the table with Jason.

Paul: "Oh. Lindsey, hi. I didn't know you were here."
Lindsey: "I could tell."
Jason: "Sit down dad. Why did you say what you did? Why do you say that I have to stop seeing Lindsey?"
Paul: "I'm going to be perfectly honest with you okay, son? You too Lindsey. I'm afraid for our safety. With the Velez family after us, and pretty soon the Blake family we'll be goners."
Jason: "Wait just a minute. What do you mean by soon the Blake family?"
Paul: "I met with Jodi again."
Jason: "Dad, I thought you'd given up on her?"
Paul: "I thought I did too…I really did, but then I saw her again and I couldn't resist but want her and to want to be with her. She's still as beautiful as she was the first time that we met."
Jason: "Never mind about that right now, dad. We have to focus on the problems right now. First, why do you say that the Blake family will be after us soon? Did they say something to you that frightened you…or is it something else entirely?"
Paul: "I don't know. They only Blake that I've talked to is Jodi. Of course Anthony is the only one of her children that knows about our past, but he's out of town for a while. If Brad were to find out about us then he'd come after me and then ruin Jodi's life."
Lindsey: "I don't mean to butt in or put my nose where is doesn't belong, but for as long as I've known Bradley Blake has already ruined Jodi Blake's life."
Paul: "That's true, but I'm talking about in another sense. Brad would strip her of all of her expensive items, including the luxury cars, jewelry, designer clothes and everything else that she has, including all of that money that is rightfully hers."
Jason: "Okay I can understand about that, but now about the Velez's. What happened that has made you change your mind about mine and Lindsey's relationship?"

Blake Mansion
Brad returns to the table with Jodi and Brittany. Edwin is still sitting there eating as if nothing had happened.

Edwin: "What brings the three of you back to the dinner table?"
Brad: "I realized that I was being harsh and that I ruined the evening, so I went and apologized to both your mother and your sister and asked them if they would come back to the table and have dinner."
Edwin: "Whoa! When do you get a heart?"
Brad: "Excuse me?"
Edwin: "Nothing."

Jodi eyes Edwin and then smiles. She then looks to Brad.

Jodi: "Brad, I forgot to tell you. You got a call from Marcus Cobblestone today."
Brad: "Do you know what he wanted?"
Jodi: "No, but for some reason I got the impression that he was angry about something. Maybe it has to do with Blanche."
Brad: "Blanche? Why would he call me if he were upset with Blanche? It must be something about the firm. Something must have happened. I'll call him right after dinner."

Jodi thinks to herself: "He knows exactly why Marcus is angry. He knows that it's about Blanche and what happened at the Richmond's Party. Oh, this is going to be good."

Christina: "Mom…what's wrong?"
Jodi: "Nothing honey. I was just still thinking about Marcus and what on earth he could be possibly be so mad about."

Jodi says this as she stares at Brad. Brad looks right back at her, he knows what she is talking about. Then before another fight breaks out Jamie comes into the dining room.

Jamie: "Excuse me. You have a visitor."
Brad: "Who has a visitor?"
Jamie: "The whole family."
Jodi: "Who is it? When did they get here? I didn't hear the doorbell ring."
Jamie: "I was putting the trash out when he arrived."
Christina: "Who is he?"
Jamie: "It's Anthony."

Anthony comes into the dining room. Everyone looks at him in shock, but also with huge smiles on their faces. He stands in front of all them who are still sitting at the table.

Richmond Mansion
Brittany and Douglas are still sitting beside each other on the couch in the Grand Room of the Richmond Mansion.

Brittany: "…and that's when I told them that I was going to move out. I did and I'm living with my best friend, Megan now. There's even a vacant apartment in her building that I'm thinking about taking. But anyway, that's why I think they came here and told you that I wanted nothing to do with you. They were just trying to break us up, because since they weren't going to get anything out of it then neither would I."
Douglas: "Well, they almost did break us up."
Brittany: "Does this mean that you believe me and that you forgive me?"
Douglas: "Yes. I was a fool to be mad at you for something that you had nothing to do with."
Brittany: "Oh Douglas! You're so wonderful!"

Brittany throws her arms around Douglas. She then pulls away.

Brittany: "Now I don't have to leave and never come back to this mansion. I can see you and talk to you every day. This is so great! We should celebrate."
Douglas: "Yes, we should. How would you like to go to Jack Flash: The Nightclub?"
Brittany: "I'd love too. I love it there! I have to go change and get ready though, okay? Will you pick me up at about ten?"
Douglas: "Sure thing."
Brittany: "Okay, great. Bye."

Brittany stands up and starts to run out of the room, but then stops and turns around and runs back to Douglas. She gives him a passionate kiss and they look at each other with love in their eyes and then she's off. She runs out of the room and out of the mansion.

Forbes House

Jason: "Answer me dad. What made you change your mind about mine and Lindsey's relationship?"
Paul: "David Velez called me to his office this afternoon."
Lindsey: "My father? What did he want?"
Paul: "He wanted to warn me again about the two of you. He said that if I wouldn't help in keeping the two of you apart, then he would fire me and you too, Jason."
Lindsey: "He wouldn't do that. He can't do that."
Paul: "He can and he will. He was very serious. If we both loose our jobs at the factory then we'll have no income. We'd end up homeless. I really wish that I didn't have to do this, but it's just a lot better for all of us if you two just stop seeing each other."
Jason: "No. I won't stop seeing Lindsey. I love her."
Lindsey: "And I love Jason. There's no way that we're going to stop seeing each other. Nobody is going to stop us."
Paul: "Neither one of you have a choice. Either you stop seeing each other or Jason and I are going to be home less and your family is going to disown you for not obeying their orders."
Lindsey: "We are adults. We can make our own decisions. My family can't do anything to us."
Paul: "They can fire me. They can fire Jason, and like I said, they will. If they do we'll end up living on the street because we won't be able to pay rent, we won't be able to eat, because we won't be able to buy food. We don't know what it's like to have endless amounts of money and not have to work for it. We're not rich. We are as poor as poor can get. Now, Jason, I want you to make your decision right now. Are you going to continue to see Lindsey and put your life in danger? Because if you are, then I'm not going to have anything to do with it, because I'm not going to ruin my life for this puppy love, but if you want to then go right ahead. But let me know now."

Jason and Lindsey are both shocked by what Paul has just said and they stare at him in disbelief.

Blake Mansion
Anthony continues standing at the doorway and every one is still looking at him. None of them actually believes that he is really there.

Anthony: "Hello to all of you too."

Jodi quickly stands up and runs over to him and throws her arms around him.

Jodi: "Oh, Anthony. Is it really you? I've missed you so much. Thank God you're back."
Anthony: "I've missed you too, mother."

Brad, Christina and Edwin all stand up and go over to Anthony. Brad gives him a handshake. Christina gives him a big hug and a kiss on his cheek, and Edwin gives him a handshake and a hug.

Christina: "This is such a surprise. What made you come here?"
Anthony: "I'm on my way to New York City. I decided to leave a couple days early so I could spend some time here. Is that okay."
Jodi: "It's more then okay. That's a silly thing to ask. You can back and live here full time and it would still be more then okay."
Anthony: "I know mother. You always tell me that you want me to come back home, but I can't. My career sends me all over the place."
Jodi: "I know and I hate that."
Brad: "How about we go into the living room and talk. I'll tell Jamie that we're done with dinner now."

They all go into the next room, the living room. Brad comes in after he tells Jamie to clean up the dining room.

Brad: "So son, what's new? Any new movies…what's your latest project?"
Anthony: "I'm in my last week of filming for a new movie actually."
Christina: "Really? What is it called and who else is in it?"
Anthony: "It's called 'What You See, is What You Get.' I play the male lead and Britney Spears plays the female lead."
Christina: "Wow. You and Britney Spears in the same movie…that's so cool."
Anthony: "Yeah…she's really great."
Brad: "Is this Brianna chick your new girlfriend?"
Anthony: "Her name is Britney and no she's not my girlfriend. She only plays it in the movie. But, enough about me, I hear enough about it when I'm in California to last me until the day I die. I want to know what's been going on here? Anything new and exciting happening?"
Jodi: "Yes, a lot has been happening. Your father has a…"
Brad: "Well, you're mother is keeping…"
Jodi: "Brad!"

Brad and Jodi casually smile at Anthony.

Anthony: "Mom, can I talk to you in private for a second?"
Jodi: "Sure honey."

They walk to the foyer.

Anthony: "Is father back on his accusations about Paul Forbes?"
Jodi: "Yes, how did you know?"
Anthony: "I just had a feeling that's what he was about to say just know before you interrupted him."
Jodi: "He's been on that trip for about a week. It's getting so old and I'm afraid if he says the wrong thing then Christina and Edwin will find out the truth."
Anthony: "There's no way that they'll find out the whole truth. Maybe that you used to date him, but that won't harm them. What would harm them would be if they found out that I'm his son. It would harm us if Brad were to find out, so we have to make sure that he doesn't. I'm willing to go to any lengths."

Megan's Apartment
Brittany runs into the apartment. Megan is sitting on the couch watching television.

Brittany: "Hey Megan. Sorry I can't talk right now. Have to get ready."

Brittany runs into the bathroom. Megan goes and stands outside the door.

Megan: "What are you getting ready for?"
Brittany: "Doug is taking me to Jack Flash: The Nightclub tonight."
Megan: "Oh, I see. Well, have fun."
Brittany: "I have so much to tell you, you won't believe half of it."
Megan: "Well what are you waiting for? Start talking!"
Brittany: "Okay, okay, but I can't tell you everything now. I have to hurry. Doug is coming at ten."
Megan: "That's in an hour! You better hurry, girl!"
Brittany: "I am, I am, but you want me to tell you the story."
Megan: "Don't worry about the story, tell me another time."

Megan goes back and sits down on the couch.

Megan: "What in the world will I do tonight? I know, I know exactly what I'm going to do."

Abandoned Warehouse
Donny is standing over Rogers' head and Tiny is standing near his feet.

Donny: "Okay, so we're going to pick him up and carry him out to the dock and throw him into the lake, right?"
Tiny: "Yeah. Are you ready?"
Donny: "Yeah."

They pick him up. Donny has him by the arms and Tiny has his legs. They walk out of the abandoned warehouse and start for the docks.

Tiny: "Wait! Do you hear that?"
Donny: "Someone is coming. What are we gonna do?"
Tiny: "Over there. Let's put him behind the Dumpster for now."

They carry him to the Dumpster and put his body behind it. They then run and hide in an alley and wait for the person to pass by. It's Chief Carter, he is taking his rounds around the docks to make sure nothing bad is going on. He walks by the alley where they are hiding the then past the Dumpster. All of a sudden he stops and looks over his shoulder. He then turns and looks in the direction of the Dumpster.

Chief Carter: "What the hell is that?"

He shines his flashlight towards the Dumpster.

Chief Carter: "Is that someone's foot? It's probably just some homeless guy."

He walks over to the Dumpster and lightly kicks Rogers' foot.

Chief Carter: "Hey. Get up, you can't sleep around here. Go over to the mission. They'll let you sleep there."

After a few times of trying to get him to get up he steps behind the Dumpster and shines the light into Rogers' face. He kneels down and places his hand on his neck, feeling for a pulse. He then gets up and walks from behind the Dumpster and gets out his cell phone.

Chief Carter: "Yes, this is Chief Carter. I'm near the docks, actually right behind the old pottery warehouse and, huh, well I just found a dead man back here. Thank you. Goodbye."

Chief Carter waits for his back up and the help to arrive. Donny and Tiny stand in the alley.

Tiny: "Damn. What are we gonna do now?"
Donny: "He's dead, right?"
Tiny: "Yeah."
Donny: "Well there's nothing anybody can do about it now so we don't have anything to worry about. We just don't get the pleasure of dumping him into the water and letting the fish eat him up."
Tiny: "I guess you're right, but I think we'd better get out of here before the Chief starts looking around and finds us."
Donny: "Yeah, let's go."

They turn and walk down the alley and leave at the other opening on the other side.

Black 2001 Mercedes Benz

David: "Do you know the plan exactly? Do you want me to go over it again?"
Dominique: "No, I've got it. But we only have to use it if worse comes to worse."
David: "That's right."
Dominique: "Okay. Can you take me back to the coffeehouse?"
David: "Sure."

David starts makes a quick U-turn on the dark road that they were driving down. Just as he turns and is facing the other direction a deer comes running into the road. David can't stop and he hits the deer. The car goes backwards. Dominique screams. David tries to get control of the car as it spins out of control. The car then flies off the road and explodes when it lands in the deep ditch.
