South Sea Watersdale Hospital
Jennifer is standing in her hospital room wearing regular clothes. She is putting some final things into the bag that her mother had brought to her the first day she was there. Julia then walks into the room. She gives her daughter a kiss and hug.
Julia: "Jennifer, I can't believe you're already up and ready to go."
Jennifer: "Dr. Lewis said Sunday afternoon, so here it is, Sunday afternoon and I'm ready to get out of here."
Julia: "I don't blame you honey. I know that you've never cared much for hospitals, but neither have I."
Jennifer: "Like mother like daughter."
Julia: "Your father is in the lobby waiting for us. I told him that it would be a little while, so I want to take this chance to remind you that you can tell me anything."
Jennifer: "I know where you're going with this mom and I just want you to stop worrying."
Julia: "I don't want you to turn into a battered wife."
Jennifer: "I'm not going to turn into a battered wife. Sam doesn't hit me and he didn't push me down the stairs, despite what you and dad think."
Julia: "I know what you've told us dear, but I just want you to know that you really can tell us anything. I don't want to say that I don't believe what you're telling us, but I just find it odd that you fell down the stairs."
Jennifer: "How do you find me falling down the stairs odd? It happens to a lot of people. You can trip, you can step on something and loose your balance…there's countless things that can happen that will make you fall down the stairs. I just tripped. I was being clumsy, that's all."
Julia: "Okay. Fine, I guess your father just got me a little paranoid about the whole thing and he's got the idea that Sam pushed, you in my head."
Jennifer: "It's alright mom. Just don't bring it up to Sam anymore and tell dad not too either. I'm sure he got upset when you and dad kept on accusing him when he first got here and I was still in a coma. I can't believe all that stuff that you told me actually happened while I was in a coma."
Julia: "It did and I couldn't even believe half of the things that happened."
Jennifer: "Well, I hope the girls will be home when we get there. I can't wait to see them."
Julia: "I know. Let's go, so you can sign those release forms. The sooner you're out of here, the better."
Jennifer: "I agree."
Julia takes her daughter's bag for her and they walk out of the room.
Richmond Mansion
The doorbell in the Richmond mansion rings incessantly and Bernard practically runs to the door to open it. When he opens it Brittany storms through and stands in the middle of the foyer. Bernard, speaking in his British accent…
Bernard: "Excuse me Miss, but may I help you?"
Brittany: "You're the one that I talked to on the phone, aren't you? You sure are short!"
Bernard: "You must be Brittany."
Brittany: "Yes I am. Where's Douglas?"
Bernard: "I've already told you that Master Douglas doesn't want to speak with you. If he doesn't want to speak with you, couldn't you come to the conclusion that he obviously doesn't want to see you either?"
Brittany: "How dare you speak to me that way?"
Bernard: "Are you part of royalty? No. Are you wealthy? No. I don't have to respect for you. Especially if the Richmond's don't."
Brittany: "Listen, you annoying little weasel, tell me where Douglas is and I won't have to step on you."
Bernard: "Would you like me to call security?"
Brittany: "No, actually, I'd like you to call Douglas."
Bernard: "Well, you should probably settle for security since I won't be calling Master Douglas anytime soon, for you that is."
Brittany stomps her foot on the floor and then goes to the bottom of the massive staircase and calls up for Douglas.
Bernard: "Keep your voice down. You shouldn't even be this far into the house."
Brittany: "Sue me. DOUG! DOUG! I KNOW YOU'RE UP THERE…COME DOWN HERE…WE NEED TO TALK! DOUGLAS!"
Bernard grabs Brittany's arm and drags her back to the front door and she continues to yell for Doug. She wiggles her way out of his grip and then smacks him across the face. They stare at each other furiously.
Wilson Home
Dominique walks down the stairs and into her living room. She takes a deep breath and sighs.
Dominique: "Okay, this is a new day. I have to forget everything that happened yesterday. I don't want to think about it at all. Hopefully Roger won't bring it up to me. I have to meet David tonight to tell him exactly what is happening. He'll know what to do. He has to know what to do. If this is going to come out, then I can't face this on my own. He has to know that. He is going to have to be part of this too. Uh, but I have to forget about that for now, like I said. Maybe I'll turn on the computer and look at the progress of the web site. I think Kyle has the address there next to the computer."
She continues to walk through the house and goes to the spare room.
Abandoned Warehouse
A large burly man pushes Roger into the room. Donny is standing at the other end of the room. His shadow is the only thing that can be seen.
Donny: "You were trying to escape, weren't you Roger?"
Roger: "No."
Man: "Yes he was boss."
Donny steps into the light and Roger can now see him.
Donny: "It's Sunday, Roger. Do you know what that means?"
Roger: "Yes."
Donny: "So, I'm assuming that you have the money for me since you claim that you weren't running away from us."
Roger: "Well, there's a little problem with that."
Donny: "A little problem. That sounds so familiar…doesn't it, Tiny?"
Tiny: "Sure does, boss."
Roger: "Your name's Tiny?"
Tiny: "Do you have a problem with that?"
Roger: "No man. No problem."
Donny: "So, what's your problem this time, Wilson?"
Roger: "Same."
Donny: "You don't have the money, but if I give you another week you'll be able to get it too me, right?"
Roger: "You'll really give me another week to get it to you?"
Donny: "No…guess again."
Roger: "You're going to kill me?"
Donny: "You're going straight to bad…what makes you think we'd kill you?"
Roger: "Because I know what you do to guys who don't have the money on time and that keep on making excuses, and I'm sure you're sick of me by now. You said that today was the last day and if I didn't have the money I'd have to face the consequences."
Donny: "So, you were trying to skip town because you knew what we'd do if we found out that you didn't have the money."
Roger: "I…"
Donny: "Come on Roger, tell me the truth. Were you trying to skip town, thinking you'd fool us and get out of paying off your debt?"
Roger: "Yes."
Donny: "Your oh-so-original plan backfired, didn't it? We're lucky Tiny saw you at the train station, or you might have been able to get away. So, let's think of what we should do, shall we, Tiny?"
Tiny: "Sounds good to me."
Tiny ties Rogers arm's behind his back and then ties him to a pole. Donny and Tiny sit in chairs across from him discussing what they should do to him.
Cup-A-Joe
Richard & Katie are sitting at a small round table together. Richard is looking through a newspaper, looking for good apartments for Katie. Katie is flipping through the latest issue of "Elle" Magazine. Richard puts the paper down.
Richard: "Katie, what are you doing? Why aren't you looking through the other classified section?"
Katie: "For what?"
Richard: "To find an apartment."
Katie: "I'm in no rush…you said that I could stay with you as long as I wanted."
Richard: "No, I said you can stay with me until you find and apartment, which meant that I want you to start looking right away, especially now, after all that has happened."
Katie: "So now you're kicking me out of your house?"
Richard: "No, but I'd like you to take on an active part in finding your own apartment. At least act like you want to find one."
Katie: "But I don't want to find one. If you would just break up with Mariah and start dating me again, then we wouldn't have to go through all of this. We can live at your house and everything would be perfect again."
Richard: "No…that won't happen so just forget it! I'm happy with Mariah and I won't break up with her just to date you, do you understand? Why can't you realize that what we had is long over?"
Katie: "Fine. I know when I'm not wanted."
She snatches the newspaper away from him and starts to look at the classifieds.
Richard: "It's not that you're not wanted."
She looks at him over the paper with excitement.
Wilson Home
Dominique walks into the spare room and turns the computer on. She sits down and looks at the screen as it turns on. It is now fully started.
Dominique: "I don't know why I'm trying to work this. I don't know a thing about computers. What are all of these little pictures? What are they supposed to be anyway? They're kind of small."
Dominique starts to move the mouse around and accidentally hits the button on the mouse. She starts to hear a bunch of static out of the speakers. She then hears a voice say: "Welcome…you've got mail." She looks at the screen with a confused look on her face.
Dominique: "This looks like the Internet, but how did I get here? It must have happened when I touched this funny looking thing."
She looks at all of the icons on the screen and starts to read them.
Dominique: "Home…Search…e-mail…Chat rooms…family homepage…that's it…family homepage. Let's see if I can do this."
She takes the mouse in her hand and moves it a little. She sees the arrow and moves it to where it says 'family homepage.' She lets go of the mouse and presses the button with her index finger. A page starts to load. When it finishes loading she's sees an orange background screen and large black letters that read: "WILSON SON, NOT ACTUALLY A WILSON: Dominique Wilson's secret that will destroy this family." She gasps and covers her mouth with her hand. She begins to hyperventilate. She stares at what it says. She stands up and can only stare at the screen and read what it says over and over.
Abandoned Warehouse
Roger is still tied to the poll and Donny and Tiny are still sitting in the chairs across from him.
Roger: "You guys aren't serious about killing me, right? You're just trying to scare me."
Donny: "We're as serious as a heart attack Roger."
Tiny: "And we're not trying to scare you…we're just letting you know what your fate is. You're already scared."
Roger: "I am not."
Donny: "So, you're not afraid to die?"
Roger: "Not really."
Tiny: "Wrong answer. We're not afraid to kill anybody. You wouldn't be our first and you wouldn't be our last."
Roger: "I'm your best client though."
Donny: "Not as of late. You've been a terrible client actually."
Roger: "I told you that I was sorry."
Tiny: "So are we. You're as good as dead. I don't see any reason not to kill you now."
Donny and Tiny advance on Roger. They begin to untie him. Tiny holds a knife to Roger's throat so he doesn't move. Then, Tiny's cell phone rings.
Donny: "Get that…it might be important. I'll watch him."
Tiny takes the blade away from Roger's throat and walks away, out of the room to talk on the phone. Roger's rope is now very loose and Donny is only standing by him. He starts to shimmy out of the ropes. He is finally free. He turns Donny around and punches him across the face. Donny falls to the floor and Roger kicks the knee that Donny just got surgery on. Donny screams in agony and Roger grabs Donny's gun and heads for the door. Suddenly he hears a loud voice. It's Tiny.
Tiny: "Don't you move another muscle or I'll shoot your sorry ass."
Roger freezes, with his back to Tiny, holding Donny's gun in front of himself.
South Sea Watersdale Hospital
Martin, Julia, Jennifer and Dr. Lewis stand in the lobby of the hospital. Jennifer is all set to leave. Dr. Lewis hands her a clipboard with some papers on it and she signs the release forms.
Dr. Lewis: "Well, I guess this is it Jennifer. You're leaving rather quickly, however, I did say that you could leave today. Just make sure to take care of yourself and not to over do it. Don't put too much stress on yourself and I'd ask you to have your husband and kids do most of the housework while you continue to recover."
Jennifer: "I'm perfectly fine, doctor. There's no need to worry."
Dr. Lewis: "You might feel fine now, but all of a sudden you could get hit with a feeling of weakness, laps of memory, or something like this."
Jennifer: "Thank you for your concern, doctor, but I'm sure I'll be fine."
Julia: "Yes, Dr. Lewis, she will be fine, I'll make sure of it. As a matter of fact, I plan to stay with her at her house for a couple of days."
Jennifer: "No mom."
Martin: "It's already been decided, Jenny. You have an extra bedroom in your house and it has a twin-size bed. Your mother and I can sleep in there, plus we'll be in the house and near you all the time. It'll only ensure that you'll be fully recovered as soon as possible."
Jennifer: "Dad, I'm already fully recovered. Plus, I'm afraid that you'll find the house too crowded, with Sam, Ellen and Amy being there and all. Besides, you and mom are used to sleeping in a king-size bed."
Martin: "Nonsense. You're our daughter and Ellen and Amy are our granddaughters. How could we possibly find it crowded if we're around family."
Jennifer: "What about Sam?"
Martin: "After the talk your mother and I had with him I think he might be staying away for a little while."
Dr. Lewis: "You know what? I really have nothing to do with this. You've signed the release forms and I don't have anything else to say and I feel uncomfortable staying here listening to your conversation. So, I'm going to say goodbye now. Have a nice day…all of you. Jennifer, I'll have the receptionist call you to schedule a check up next week."
Jennifer: "No problem, Dr. Lewis. Thank you very much…goodbye."
Julia: "Thank you again, Dr. Lewis."
Martin: "Goodbye."
Dr. Lewis nods at all of them and then leaves the lobby. They stand there and continue to talk.
Julia: "Jenny, are you ready?"
Jennifer: "Yes, but I'm going to tell you one more time that it's not necessary for the two of you to stay at my house. Richmond is close enough that if I need you, you can get here."
Martin: "For the last time, we're staying."
Jennifer: "But…"
Martin: "No buts. Let's go."
Martin picks up Jennifer's bag and walks out of the hospital. Julia gives Jennifer a motherly look and lovingly wraps her arm around Jennifer and leads her out of the hospital.
Cup-A-Joe
Katie waits to hear if Richard is going to confess his love for her, but he remains silent. She speaks up.
Katie: "So, you do love me? You do want me around?"
Richard: "Did I say that?"
Katie: "Well, no, but…"
Richard: "Don't put words in my mouth. All I said was that it isn't that you aren't wanted."
Katie: "Obviously that means that I am wanted."
Richard: "You're wanted to work in the hospital. You're wanted to live in Watersdale. You're wanted to be my friend. But frankly, you're not wanted to live in my house if you continue to do what you're doing."
Katie: "What am I doing? I haven't done anything terrible."
Richard: "Oh, you haven't? Let me refresh your memory. You seduced me the first day you got to my house. You told Mariah's sister that we were engaged. You're trying to ruin my relationship with Mariah. If that's not anything terrible then I don't know what is."
Katie: "Fine. If that's how you feel then I'll try my damnedest to find an apartment of my own."
Suddenly they hear Mariah's voice.
Mariah: "That's a good idea."
They look up at her.
Katie: "How long have you been here?"
Mariah: "A little while. I've heard a lot. Richard, thank you…Katie, I second what Richard said."
Katie: "What do I owe this visit? I'm kind of busy here, you know."
Mariah: "Well, actually, I'm going to save you a lot of time, because I'm here to tell you about an apartment that I know is for rent. I think you'll just love it."
Katie looks at her with a disappointed look on her face. Mariah smiles happily.
Richmond Mansion
Bernard holds his face and him and Brittany stare at each other.
Bernard: "You need to leave this mansion immediately. If you don't…if you stay for even one more minute I'll call Richmond security. I'll call the Richmond PD if I have too."
Brittany: "Oh yeah? You do that and I'll have you fired."
Bernard: "You have no power here. You have no power anywhere. You're a nobody."
Brittany: "I'm Douglas Richmond's girlfriend."
Bernard: "Apparently not any more."
Brittany: "Oh yeah? We'll me and him are going to straighten this out right now."
Bernard: "No, you are going to leave this mansion, right now."
Bernard goes to grab Brittany's again.
Brittany: "Don't touch me again. I'll slap you again…don't test me."
Bernard: "Are you going to leave or not?"
Brittany: "No…I've already told you that I have to talk with Douglas."
Bernard: "Well, it's not happening. Get over it and leave."
Brittany: "No…I won't! DOUG! DOUG! PLEASE…TALK TO ME! DOUG!"
Bernard: "Would you stop yelling?"
Brittany: "DOUG!"
Constance comes running into the foyer.
Constance: "What's going on? What's all of this yelling about?"
Brittany: "I need to speak with your son, Mrs. Richmond."
Bernard: "She barged in here demanding to talk to Master Douglas, had the nerve to slap me and insists on yelling for Master Douglas. I've already told her that he doesn't want to see or speak with her."
Constance: "Who are you exactly?"
Brittany: "Brittany O'Keffe. Your son's girlfriend."
Constance: "O'Keffe. Your parents were here earlier."
Brittany: "Yes, I heard. Could you just please tell your butler to back off?"
Constance: "Bernard. Please."
Bernard: "But…"
Constance: "Go. I would like to speak with Miss O'Keffe in private."
Bernard grunts and storms out of the room. Constance leads Brittany to the grand room. They sit in chairs across from each other.
Constance: "What's going on? Why are you here yelling in my mansion?"
Brittany: "I'm very sorry, but I really need to speak with your son. We can't work out this problem if he refuses to talk to me."
Constance: "What's the problem?"
Brittany: "I'm not exactly sure. But my parents told him something when they were here, and I would really like to know what they said that made him so mad at me."
Constance: "Let me go see what I can do. Stay here."
Brittany: "Thank you."
Brittany sits in the chair and Constance leaves the room.
Quinn Home
Jennifer, Julia and Martin walk into the house. Martin set's Jennifer's bag down on the floor. Jennifer sits down on the couch.
Jennifer: "Are you sure that you guys want to stay here?"
Julia: "We're positive."
Martin: "There's nothing you can say that will make us change our minds."
Julia: "That's right, anyway, right now I want you to stay sitting right there and I'm going to make some tea for all of us."
Julia starts for the kitchen, but just before she gets there Sam walks out of the kitchen and into the living room. Julia stops dead in her tracks and stares at him. Martin stands at the other side of the room and stares at him as well. Jennifer remains seated, but can't stand to look at him.
Martin: "What are you doing here?"
Sam: "I live here. What are you doing here?"
Martin: "I'm going to take care of my daughter."
Sam: "She's a big girl now, plus, she has the girls and me."
Martin: "That's right. She has the girls to give her some real help, and you to help her fall down the stairs and land her in the hospital."
Jennifer: "Dad."
Sam: "How are you feeling Jenny?"
Jennifer: "I'm fine. Thanks. We are the girls?"
Sam: "I'll get them."
Sam goes up the stairs and Julia proceeds into the kitchen. Martin takes a seat in a nearby chair.
Martin: "Can you believe him?"
Jennifer: "What is it now, dad?"
Martin: "Your husband…acting like he actually cares about you. Like nothing ever happened. I see right through it."
Jennifer: "Nothing did happen. Come off it already, dad."
Martin: "Why do you insist on sticking up for him? Why, damn it?"
Jennifer: "I'm going to help mom with that tea."
She gets up and walks into the kitchen. Sam comes walking down the stairs, but Martin doesn't notice. When Martin begins to talk, Sam stops coming down the stairs and listens to what he is saying.
Martin: "I know that you're sticking up for him Jenny and I won't have it…I won't stand by and watch my daughter turn into a battered wife…I won't. I plan to get my revenge on Sam in my own way, and nobody will have any idea that it's coming, so you better watch out Sammy-boy."
Martin then stands up and walks into the kitchen. Sam comes fully down the stairs and shakes his head and grins at Martin as he walks into the kitchen.
Pier Side Apartments
Richard, Mariah and Katie walk up to apartment 2B and knock. A woman answers.
Woman: "Good Afternoon. Can I help you with something?"
Mariah: "Yes. We're here to see this apartment. It's for rent, right?"
Woman: "Yes, it is. Come on in."
They walk into the apartment and stand in the small hallway.
Woman: "My name is Linda Shannon."
Mariah: "Nice to meet you Miss Shannon. I'm Mariah Cortez, this is my boyfriend Richard Lee and this is a friend, Katie Barnes."
Linda: "Nice to meet all of you, and call me Linda, please."
Mariah: "Can you tell us a little bit about the apartment, Linda?"
Linda: "Well, I'm the owner of this apartment and I've been living here for about five years, but I'm getting married and my fiancé and I bought a house together. We decided to keep this so we could have a little extra money…you know from the rent. Anyway, it's in really good condition and there really isn't anything that has to be done to it, unless you don't like the color of the walls or something like that. However, this apartment is really only suited for one person."
Mariah: "That's good, because we are looking for an apartment for our great friend Katie here."
Linda: "Oh, I see. How nice of the two of you to help her."
Mariah: "Believe me, it's our pleasure. So, Katie, what do you think of the apartment?"
Katie: "It looks nice from over here."
Linda: "Oh, I'm so sorry to keep you all standing in this tiny hallway. Please, come into the living room."
They step into the still furnished living room.
Linda: "The kitchen is over here…the bathroom is right here…and the bedroom is right over here. It's not very big, but it is really nice, plus right out there on the porch is a nice view of the pier and the docks."
Katie: "How much is the rent?"
Linda: "Four-fifty."
Katie: "Oh."
Linda: "Too much?"
Katie: "It is a little expensive. I might be able to do four-hundred though, or even better, three-fifty."
Linda: "You know what? Why don't you leave me a telephone number where I can reach you and I'll consult my fiancé about lowering the price, and I'll call you and let you know either way."
Katie: "That sounds good. I'm staying at Richard's house right now. The telephone number there is 555-1062, or you can reach me on my cell phone, 555-0011."
Linda writes down the numbers as Katie says them.
Linda: "Thank you so much for your interest and I'll be sure to call you as soon as possible."
Katie: "Thank you."
Katie, Richard and Mariah leave. They walk down the pier.
Richard: "So, did you like the apartment, Katie?"
Katie: "It's nice, but I think I want something a little less expensive and maybe a little bigger."
Mariah: "Oh really? I thought that the apartment was pretty big, and Linda said that she might be able to lower the price. Or, are you just trying to make excuses so you don't have to move out of Richard's house?"
Mariah and Richard look at Katie suspiciously. Katie can't stand to look at either of them…so she looks away towards the water as she tries to think of a comeback.
Richmond Mansion
Constance and Douglas walk into the grand room. Brittany stands up immediately and runs over to Douglas and gives him a hug.
Brittany: "Thank you for coming down here to talk to me Doug. Thank you Mrs. Richmond for helping me."
Constance: "It's no problem. I want the two of you to work out your problems, however if Douglas doesn't want anything to do with you after today, then I would like you to leave this mansion and never come back or call again."
Brittany: "We will work out our problems, right Doug?"
Douglas: "We'll try, but remember what my mother said. If I decide to have nothing to do with you anymore then you have to leave and never come back or call."
Brittany: "Fine, but after we talk you'll see that there will be no reason for that. We'll continue with our relationship and everything will be fine."
Douglas: "I hope so."
Constance: "I'll go now, so the two of you can talk."
Constance leaves the room and Douglas and Brittany sit down beside each other on the couch.
Brittany: "Now, can you please tell me what made you so mad at me? What exactly happened? I was shocked when I called here and that rude man you call your butler told me that you don't want to speak to me. When I came here he told me that you didn't want to see me either. Why is that?"
Douglas: "Your parents."
Brittany: "I know they were here. I didn't know they were coming, but when I called Bernard told me that they were here. I still don't know what they said to you to make you so mad at me."
Douglas looks away from Brittany.
~Flashback~
Andrea and Jim O'Keffe and Douglas stand in the grand room in the Richmond mansion.
Douglas: "I…I don't think that I quiet understand Mr. O'Keffe."
Andrea: "Douglas, he was perfectly clear. What's not to understand? My daughter wants nothing to do with you, she never did."
Douglas: "This can't be right. This has to be some sick joke."
~Flashback Ends~
Douglas looks back at Brittany.
Wilson Home
Dominique continues to stare at the computer screen, shocked by what the headline on the family web site says.
Dominique: "How…how…how did this get here? Who could have…uh…Roger…Roger did this! That bastard! He said he'd keep it a secret. How could he do this to me? How? Oh dear…oh God. What am I going to do? If Kyle sees this…if anyone sees this, my life will be ruined…ruined. Oh…I have to get rid of this somehow…but how? I don't know anything about this. What am I gonna do? What am I gonna do? Think Dominique…think!"
Dominique paces back and forth in front of the computer…she walks around the entire room. She stops and looks at the computer again.
Dominique: "I've got it! I know what I have to do. It'll ensure that nobody will ever see what's on this web site or this computer."
Dominique steps behind the desk that the computer is sitting on. She puts both of her hands on the back of the computer and begins to push the computer. Soon the computer crashes to the floor. Sparks come flying out of the computer and there is glass everywhere. Dominique stares down at it.
Abandoned Warehouse
Roger stands with his back to Tiny. Donny lays on the floor unconscious. Tiny points his gun at Roger's back and Roger holds the gun he stole from Donny in front of himself.
Tiny: "You just don't give up, do you Roger? Well, I'm going to get rid of you right now…you won't be able to get away after I kill you. Now, turn around. I want you to see your face when I shoot you."
Roger: "Listen man, I was only…"
Tiny: "I said turn around, now!"
Roger begins to turn around very slowly, then he quickly finishes turning around and he faces Tiny. They stand about 10 feet away from each other. Roger quickly extends his arm and Tiny reacts. Two gun shots go off.
