Velez Mansion
Geovanna and Miranda walk down the hall, away from Santa's bedroom. Geovanna pulls the 'book safe' out of the back of her pants.

Geovanna: "That was close. We're lucky Bianca came to tell us that Santa was coming."
Miranda: "I know. When did you put that in your pants?"
Geovanna: "Just in time, or else Santa would have saw that I have it."

Just then Geovanna trips, but catches her self on a table. She knocks a porcelain heart off of the table and it shatters into pieces. She sees a key, she picks it up and puts it into the 'book safe' and it unlocks it. She looks at Miranda and smiles. Miranda looks confused.

Geovanna: "It's open. I found it…I found the key. I can finally look inside."
Miranda: "How is this possible? Why would señora Velez hide the key to the book safe in a porcelain heart in this hallway?"
Geovanna: "I don't know, but I think it's because of what you said earlier. She wouldn't want anybody to easily find it, so she put it in an odd spot."
Miranda: "But, here in the hallway…in a porcelain heart?"
Geovanna: "Well obviously. I don't want to try and explain it right now or come up with a hypothesis on why she hid it here. All I know is that this is where she hid it and I found it. All I have to do is look inside, get my mother's pearls and confront her about it. If I'm lucky she'll have a stroke the minute she sees that I have them."

Geovanna smiles and then laughs about it. Miranda looks at her seriously.

Geovanna: "I don't want to take the risk of getting caught by her before I'm ready to tell her about this. Let's go to my bedroom."
Miranda: "I'll meet you there. I'd better clean this up."

Geovanna nods and continues to her bedroom. Miranda goes into a room and comes out with a broom and dustpan. She begins to clean up the broken glass.

Velez Mansion
Santa stands in her bedroom and looks around. She hears something shatter on the floor. She listens for a moment and then opens her door and looks out. She sees nothing and goes back into her bedroom.

Santa: "Marjorie must have broken a plate in the kitchen. She could be so clumsy sometimes…There's something wrong with this bedroom. Something's not right. I can't figure it out…Geovanna makes me so mad. Why did David ever have to marry her? She's so manipulative and all she wants is to try and take over this family, but I'm not going to let that happen. I wouldn't let her mother play games with me and I won't let her either. She better hope she doesn't get in my way."

Santa goes into her bathroom and starts to run the water in the bathtub.

South Sea Watersdale Hospital
Richard has his head lying over his arms on his desk. Jodi sits next to him on the desk. He looks up at her.

Richard: "What am I going to do Jodi?"
Jodi: "What do you mean?"
Richard: "I mean, what should I do about this situation. Mariah and Katie hate each other, but my girlfriend is Mariah and I have to work with Katie. I'm always going to hear comments about Katie from Mariah and comments about Mariah from Katie. I don't understand why they can't just get along. What Katie and I had is over. The only person I'm thinking about is Mariah."
Jodi: "Why were the two of you kissing?"
Richard: "I was not kissing her. She kissed me. You and Mariah walked in just as she started to kiss me. You saw that I pushed her away right away. I don't want to loose Mariah because of this."
Jodi: "You won't loose her. She loves you a lot and she knows that all of this is Katie's fault."
Richard: "I hope so. You know, she was really mad after she ran out of here and I tried to explain everything to her and she still broke up with me."
Jodi: "Wait a minute…she broke up with you?"
Richard: "She did because she was mad, but then she decided that she wants to keep going out with me and that she is not going to let Katie win."
Jodi: "Good for her. No wonder she came in here and told her off the way she did."
Richard: "Yeah. That made me feel good. You know, just that fact that she's willing to fight for our relationship."
Jodi: "You'll kind of have to do the same thing. If Katie continues with this behavior you're going to have to do something about it. You'll have to kick her out of your apartment, or just talk to her. You might have to go as far as getting her fired from working here."
Richard: "I couldn't do that to her though."
Jodi: "Rich, don't you want to save your relationship with Mariah?"
Richard: "Of course I do. There's nothing I want more."
Jodi: "Then you have to stop Katie from coming on to you and you have to resist her. You'll ruin your relationship with Mariah in an instant if you continue to be sucked into Katie's web of deception and manipulation. All she's trying to do is get you and Mariah to break up so she can move in and start to date you. I know her kind. Anthony tells me about girls like her all the time. I know Blanche Cobblestone, she's like that too. Andrea O'Keffe is another one. You have to stop her. If you don't she'll succeed in what she really came here for."
Richard: "No. I won't let that happen…I won't. I'm going to make sure that Katie finds an apartment as soon as possible. I'm going to make it perfectly clear to her that I want nothing to do with her outside of this hospital and that when we are in here we are to remain strictly professional."

Richard and Jodi sit there seriously. They glance back and forth at each other as they sit there thinking about the situation.

Megan's Apartment
Brittany sits down on the couch with the cordless phone. She looks at it for a moment and starts to dial a phone number. Then she stops and places to phone aside.

Brittany: "I don't know if I should call him. Would it seen like I'm not letting him breathe? It's not like I'd be calling for no reason at all."

She looks at the phone again and then picks it up dials a phone number. She listens and soon a man picks up the telephone. It's Bernard, the butler.

Bernard: "Richmond Mansion. May I help you?"
Brittany: "Yes. Can I speak to Douglas?"
Bernard: "Who's calling?"
Brittany: "This is his girlfriend, Brittany."
Bernard: "Oh. I'm sorry, Master Douglas has told me not to give him any calls from you."
Brittany: "What do you mean?"
Bernard: "Master Douglas does not want to speak with you."
Brittany: "Why not? What's happened?"
Bernard: "I'm sorry, I'll have to hang up now."
Brittany: "No, wait."

Bernard hangs up the telephone and all Brittany hears is a dial tone. She hangs up the phone and sets it aside on the couch.

Brittany: "What the hell is going on? Why won't Doug talk to me? What if he doesn't really like me? And this is his way of breaking up with me? This is terrible. I need to talk to him. I have to know what made him feel this way."

She picks up the telephone and begins to dial the number again.

Lakeview Mall
Alexis, Vanessa and Amy stand in line in Old Navy holding a lot of clothes.

Vanessa: "Wasn't this a great idea? It made me forget about all of my troubles. Did it work for you Amy?"
Amy: "Yeah. I guess shopping will do that to you."
Alexis: "I love this shirt! I can't wait to wear it!"
Amy: "We got a lot of nice clothes, didn't we?"
Alexis: "Yeah, we did. I hope I have enough money on me for it all. I kind of went crazy in here today."
Vanessa: "But it was fun, and we have a lot more places to go and shop. I really want to go to that new store upstairs. I saw an amazing pair of shoes there."

Amy gets up to the cash register first and she is shocked to see who is behind the counter. It's her long time crush, Sean McNeil. He doesn't look at her yet. He just starts to take the clothes and ring them in.

Sean: "Is this all?"

When she doesn't answer he looks up and her and asks again.

Sean: "Is this all?"
Amy: "Um…yes…that's all."
Sean: "Your total is twenty-five-ninety-two."

She continues to stare at him as she starts to struggle with her purse looking for money. She looks down for a moment and takes out the appropriate amount and hands it too him. Vanessa and Alexis have already been taken care of by other cashiers and are waiting for Amy off on the side as they watch her.

Sean: "Your change is eight cents. Thank you for shopping at Old Navy."

She takes the change and the bag and continues to stand there looking at him.

Sean: "Can I help you with something else?"
Amy: "No…I'm…I just…I…I have to go…thank you…bye."

Amy turns and walks away. She then turns her head back and looks at Sean again and bumps into a lady. She says that she is sorry and then continues walking and gets to Alexis and Vanessa. The leave the store and continue to walk around the mall.

Amy: "I can't believe that I was just checked out by Sean. He's my all time crush. I mean, I wish he were checking me out in a different way, but that'll never happen."
Vanessa: "You looked so nervous."
Amy: "I was. He's so nice and so cute."
Vanessa: "I like Patrick myself."
Alexis: "His brother?"
Vanessa: "Yeah. He's much nicer then Sean. Sean is so stuck up and so egotistical."
Amy: "He is not. He's just as nice as Patrick."
Vanessa: "Oh please. Why doesn't Sean ever notice you then? You were just standing in front of him and he didn't say anything to you as if he didn't know you. If it were Patrick, he'd at least say hello to you and acknowledge that he knows you."
Amy: "Why are you being so harsh towards Sean?"
Vanessa: "I'm just stating the truth about him. The truth that you are blind too."

Amy stops walking. Then Vanessa and Alexis stop and turn and look at Amy who is just staring at Vanessa in shock by what she is saying as people walk by.

South Sea Watersdale Hospital
Richard stands up and walks around his office. Jodi takes a seat in his chair.

Jodi: "That's a great idea Rich, but what's wrong now?"
Richard: "Now I just have to find a way to tell Katie all of that."
Jodi: "Tell her in the exact same way that you just said it."
Richard: "I can't. That'll be too mean."
Jodi: "You have to be harsh with her or else she's going to think that she can get her way with you and she'll continue to do what she's doing now."
Richard: "I guess you're right."
Jodi: "You know I'm right and you know what you have to do now, right?"
Richard: "Yeah, but if you don't mind, I'd like to turn the tables for a second."
Jodi: "I'm confused."
Richard: "Earlier you said that something happened at the Richmond Party last night. What was it?"
Jodi: "Oh…that…well, it's a long story."
Richard: "You have to tell me. You tell me everything."
Jodi: "Well, it has to do with Paul."
Richard: "Oh no."
Jodi: "No. It's not oh no. It's wonderful."
Richard: "How is it wonderful? The man you had an affair with is back…"
Jodi: "He was never gone."
Richard: "Well, tell me what happened."

Jodi starts to tell Richard what happened.

Velez Mansion
Miranda walks into the bedroom. Geovanna is pacing back and forth holding the key and the 'book safe.'

Geovanna: "Miranda, it's about time you got back. I was waiting for you so I can open this with you here."
Miranda: "I don't really want any part of this."
Gevoanna: "What? You already have a part in it! You gave me the book safe and you helped me find the key. We're both involved in this, but I know that as soon as I open this I'm going to find my mother's pearls inside and then I'll be able blackmail Santa, or something good."
Miranda: "You're really going to go through with destroying señora Velez?"
Geovanna: "Of course, especially now that I'm going to have my mother's pearls in my possession. So, now's the moment of truth…the moment we've both been waiting for."
Miranda: "That you've been waiting for."
Geovanna: "Don't you want to destroy Santa just as much as I do. Hasn't she been horrible towards you? Hasn't she made you feel like you were stupid? You know she has, and now you can finally get her back. We can both have revenge on her."
Miranda: "I can't help you with this anymore."
Geovanna: "What's the point in dropping out now? You've helped in getting us this far. Now we're about to get a hold of my mother's pearls and then we'll be able to destroy her. Why would you want to have nothing to do with this now if you have had such a big part in this so far?"
Miranda: "What if something can still go wrong?"
Geovanna: "No…nothing can go wrong now."
Miranda: "How can you be so sure?"
Geovanna: "Would you just stop playing devil's advocate and just face the facts that you want to destroy Santa just as much as I do?"
Miranda: "I don't want to destroy señora Velez."
Geovanna: "How can you not want revenge on her? She has always been so terrible to you. She's threatened to fire you so many times. She makes you do everything perfect and she yells at you when you don't."
Miranda: "Well, despite all of that, I'll still need a job after all of this, and if she finds out that I was a part of this, then she'll fire me for real. I need this job to stay alive."
Geovanna: "She will not be able to fire you. Just stop worrying and come over here so we can open this book safe."

Miranda goes and sits on the edge of the bed with Geovanna. Geovanna holds the 'book safe' up and looks at it for a moment. She then places it on her lap ready to open it. Suddenly there is a knock at the door. Geovanna quickly shoves the 'book safe' under her bed.

Lakeview Mall
Amy, Vanessa and Alexis sit at a table in the food court. Amy and Vanessa sit across from each other and aren't looking at one another.

Alexis: "Amy, Vanessa, why don't you two just get over what happened and stop being mad over something so stupid. You're supposed to be best friends."
Amy: "She didn't have to talk about Sean the way she did."
Vanessa: "Amy, I was just telling you my opinion of him. If you would realize what an asshole he is then you'd know why I said what I did. You can ask any girl in school about him. Yeah, he might be really cute, but he has the biggest ego."
Alexis: "Vanessa, just say that you're sorry. Amy, say that you're sorry and stop talking about it. Everybody has their opinion of specific people."
Amy: "You're right Alexis. Vanessa, I'm sorry. You can think of Sean in any way you want."
Vanessa: "I'm sorry too Amy. I shouldn't have talked about him like that knowing how much you like him."

Amy and Vanessa forgive each other and then Tom Limy and Patrick McNeil walk over to their table.

Tom: "What's up girls?"
Amy: "Hi Tom. Hey Patrick."
Patrick: "Hey Amy…Alexis…Vanessa."
Tom: "So, what's going on?"
Alexis: "Not much. Just shopping and talking about girl stuff."
Tom: "Should we leave?"
Alexis: "No, we're done. What are you guys doing here?"
Tom: "Oh, you know, just shopping and talking about guy stuff."

They all laugh.

Tom: "We're just hanging out. Trying to steer clear of Patrick's asshole brother."
Amy: "We were just talking about Sean. But then we decided not to talk about him anymore…so please don't say anything."
Patrick: "No problem. The less I think about him, the better. Vanessa, you're not very talkative today."
Vanessa: "Yeah, I guess you're right."
Patrick: "Is there anything wrong?"
Vanessa: "No."
Tom: "Well, you know we were just wondering if you girls had any dates for tonight. If not, would you like to go to the movies with us?"
Alexis: "I really can't. I have to go home and get online and look up some information about the history of Watersdale. Maybe I can go some other time. Thanks for inviting me."
Vanessa: "I can go. I don't have anything to do."
Patrick: "Great. How about you Amy?"
Amy: "I have to go to the hospital to visit my mother. I'm sorry."
Tom: "I'll go with you. Patrick and Vanessa can go to the movies."
Amy: "That sounds great."
Patrick: "Yeah. It does. Doesn't it, Vanessa?"
Vanessa: "Sure."
Alexis: "Well, I'm glad you guys were able to figure that out, but I should go now. I'll talk to you later Amy. Bye Vanessa…Tom…Patrick."

Everyone says goodbye to Alexis and she leaves. Then Tom and Amy leave. Vanessa and Patrick are left sitting at the table alone. They look at each other, half uncomfortably, half lovingly.

Megan's Apartment
Brittany holds the telephone to her hear and waits for someone to answer the telephone. Bernard answers again.

Bernard: "Richmond Mansion. May I help you?"
Brittany: "Yes. You hung up on me just a little while ago. This is Brittany again. I would like to speak with Douglas."
Bernard: "Miss, I've already told you. Mater Douglas does not want to speak with you."
Brittany: "Is there any particular reason?"
Bernard: "I'm sure there is, but Master Douglas told me nothing. It might have something to do with the visit he received earlier today from Mr. and Mrs. O'Keffe. Do you know them?"
Brittany: "Yes. I do. Thank you."
Bernard: "Goodbye."
Bernard hangs up the phone and Brittany does the same. She stands up from the couch and picks up her coat. She puts it on.

Brittany: "I'll kill them if they ruined my relationship with Doug. I'll just kill them. Why on earth did they go there to begin with? Damn them."

Brittany then picks up her keys and leaves the apartment.

South Sea Watersdale Hospital
Jodi continues to tell Richard about what happened at the Richmond Party between her and Paul the night before.

Jodi: "…but then Brad came in. I was afraid that he was going to catch Paul and I together. So we went behind a wall so he couldn't see us. But we just kept talking about our past and how much we want to be together again. Paul was actually a little reluctant. He said that he wouldn't want to date me again, just yet. I kissed him again trying to persuade him, but I don't think it worked. A little bit after that is when I went up to Blanche and Brad. Then Brad and I left a little while later."
Richard: "I can't believe what you're telling me."
Jodi: "It's true. I want to be with Paul again so badly. You know that I've never loved Bradley. I never will either, so it's useless to stay in this marriage."
Richard: "What about your title?"
Jodi: "I don't have a title anymore. The Blake's lost everything that their name meant when the Velez's got here and took over everything. The only thing in this town that the Blake's still own, is the BYC and the mansion. Brad thinks that one day the Blake's will once again take power of Watersdale. I say it's never going to happen. The Velez's are even in talks trying to change the name of this town. You know why? It's because the Blake's named it and they don't want that. They want a town that they named, so soon Watersdale might not be Watersdale. Brad would absolutely die if that were to happen."
Richard: "I don't care about all that. The Velez's and the Blake's have been fighting for power for years. It's gotten old. All I care about is you and how your family will react when they find out about Paul, and even worse, how you still feel about him now."

Just then a nurse knocks on the door and Richard opens it.

Nurse: "Dr. Blake, a man by the name of Paul Forbes says that he needs to see you immediately."
Jodi: "Oh. Thank you. Tell him I'll be right there."

The nurse leaves. Richard closes the door and looks at Jodi.

Richard: "Now he's coming to your job to see you?"
Jodi: "He might need something."
Richard: "Like another kiss?"
Jodi: "That was low Rich. You're supposed to be my friend and support me in what I believe is right for me. If you can't do that for me, the way I do it for you, then that's your problem. If you'll excuse me, I need to see what Paul wants."

Jodi leaves the office.

The Velez Mansion
Miranda opens the bedroom door and see's Bianca standing there. She walks in.

Bianca: "Señora Geovanna, dinner is going to be served shortly."
Geovanna: "Thank you Bianca. I'll be down soon."

Bianca leaves the room and Miranda closes the door and then takes her spot next to Geovanna again. Geovanna gets to 'book safe' from under the bed.

Geovanna: "Okay. This is it. No more interruptions or anything…I'm opening this up, right now!"

Geovanna opens the front and the whole 'book' is a whole with things in it. She dumps the contents out onto her bed between herself and Miranda. They look at it. There are expensive jewels, money and a birth certificate for each one of Santa's children. Geovanna looks at it all with a confused yet sad look on her face. Miranda is struck with some relief. Geovanna begins to cry.

Geovanna: "I don't believe this. My mother's pearls…I was sure they'd be in here. I was so positive. I thought I'd get Santa right where I want her. I can't believe it. I was wrong all this time. I did all of this for nothing…nothing."
Miranda: "It's going to be alright señora. Don't worry."
Geovanna: "No…it's not going to be alright. Nothing will be alright until I prove that Santa has had my mother's pearls and was a part of her murder."
Miranda: "You should get downstairs for dinner. Are you going to be able to cover up your emotions?"
Geovanna: "Yes…I'll be fine…but I'm not giving up on trying to find my mother's pearls. I'll never give up."
Miranda: "Alright. Well, get downstairs, before they start to miss you. I'll lock this and put it back into the library."
Geovanna: "Thank you Miranda."

Miranda leaves the room with the 'book safe.' Geovanna wipes her eyes with a tissue. She then fixes her make-up a little bit, takes a deep breath and leaves the room to go downstairs to the dining room for dinner.

O'Keffe Home
Brittany storms into the house calling for Andrea and Jim. They come down into the living room from the kitchen.

Jim: "What's all the yelling about?"
Brittany: "Like you don't know."
Jim: "If I knew, I wouldn't be asking you."
Brittany: "Where did the two of you go today?"
Andrea: "Nowhere."
Brittany: "Oh?"

Brittany goes over to the bottom of the staircase and yells for her brother Ryan. He comes downstairs.

Ryan: "What's going on?"
Brittany: "Did mom and dad go anywhere today?"
Ryan: "Yeah. Earlier, but that was before you and Megan left."
Brittany: "So, once again, I ask the two of you. Where did you go today?"
Andrea: "No place special. We went to grocery store."
Brittany: "Funny I didn't see your car there when I got to Megan's apartment."
Andrea: "We were at a different grocery store."
Brittany: "Which other grocery store is there near by? Just tell me the truth about where you were."
Jim: "Why do you care? You decided to move out. We don't have to tell you anything."
Brittany: "I care because you were at the Richmond Mansion today and I want to know why."
Jim: "We were not at the Richmond Mansion today. Why would we be there?"
Brittany: "I know that you said something to Douglas to make him believe that I don't want to date him anymore, and I hate the both of you for it. I'm warning you to stop trying to ruin my life. I'm no longer living in your house, you had no right to do what you did. You'll pay dearly if Doug and I don't get back together."

Brittany then storms right back out of the house. Andrea and Jim look at each other in shock and Ryan looks at them with a look of hatred towards them.

South Sea Watersdale Hospital
Jodi walks into her office and there sits Paul.

Jodi: "Hi Paul. How are you?"
Paul: "I'm alright. How about you?"
Jodi: "I'm doing okay. What brings you here?"
Paul: "I was thinking about you?"
Jodi: "Really?"
Paul: "Yeah. I was thinking a lot about you. About last night at that party and the kisses that we shared, and also about what you said."
Jodi: "Oh? And…?"
Paul: "I have to tell you and ask you something."
Jodi: "Go right ahead."
Paul: "It's hard to say. It might sound like I'm contradicting myself but I'm not. I have to tell you that last night I was lying. I was lying when I said that I couldn't start to see you again and that I didn't want to. I do, and I can. I don't care about Brad. I just want to be with you again. I've always wanted to be with you."
Jodi: "That's…that's wonderful."
Paul: "So, can we start seeing each other again?"
Jodi: "Yes. Of course…yes. Oh…this is amazing. I've always wanted you back, and now I have you."

Jodi and Paul hug and then give each other another passionate kiss.

Lakeview Mall
Patrick and Vanessa are sitting in their seats in the theatre waiting for the movie to start.

Vanessa: "Are you sure you're okay with seeing this movie?"
Patrick: "Yeah. I actually heard that it was good."
Vanessa: "I know, but still, it's 'Josie and the Pussycats.' I'm just not sure if you really wanted to see it and if you don't, we can go and exchange our tickets."
Patrick: "I'm fine."
Vanessa: "Are you sure?"
Patrick: "Yes. I'm happy to be here alone with you."

Vanessa smiles and blushes. She turns to look at Patrick and he kisses her. She gets right into kissing him and they continue.
